Angry kidney stones are not for sissys

kidney stones are not for sissys. i found that out last night. started hurting real bad in my back, front throwing up etc. it got so bad we were stopped at a rest area in indiana and he had to call a ambulance for me after a 25 min ambulance ride, actually 2 ambulances one met us half way for a parametic to climb in the ambulance i was in to give me something for pain.
they had their hands full thats for sure!! i think i ended up teaching the emt a few new words last night they say the pain is as close to having a baby as you can come to. well i agree!!! and i told my daughter today that if she don't have a epedural, then she can count me out of the delivery process! i know my daughter too well lol
well, after getting to the hospital, they did a ct scan on me and told me that the kidney stone was 6 mm. and for a kidney stone that is big!! they say about the size of a number 2 pencil eraser. well they sent me home about 4;00 am this morning.. then had to wait at the hosptial for 4 more hrs while i waited on safety at tommys job to say it was ok for me to climb back in the truck. god its been a rough day but i am feeling ok now. i just hope it passes ok like they want it to. delanna

Glad you are OK! They can be quite painful from what I understand.

Now you need to get a big coffee can and a lid, and a drink a whole lot more water from now on! Sitting in a truck all day is hard on your body, so drink and pee to your hearts content.

when my dad had one and he was in the hospital he would grab the bed when the pain hit. he left them a bent hospital bed. his doctor was a mother of two, who also had a kidney stone at one time and she said the stone hurt more then birth. i wish you the best. drink lots of water.

My wife has had them three times runs in her family. Yes I have personally witnessed the pain they cause morphine on the way. Oh and for you guys lay low for awhile don't make any sudden moves. Good luck with yours may you pass it painlessly...

Having a kidney stone is a little like being seasick. First, you're so sick you're afraid you're going to die. Then you're so sick you don't car if you die. Then you're so sick, you're afraid you might not die.

The first one I had, I ended up in the hospital overnight. Only time in my life! My wife had one last year, and they took her from the doctor's office to the hospital in an ambulance. January thru March is the big time of year for it, for some reason.

well they say this one is 6 mm which is big for a stone!! it hasn't passed yet but i will pray it does and they don't have to go in for the basket removal. my cousin had that and it was awful. either that or bust it up with lazers. that makes your insides hurt for weeks i have heard. i hurt, but i can deal with this for a bit can't get my dang medicines until midnight when we can get some money but they gave me alot at the hospital. i can't take morpheine im very very allergic to it. so had to settle with other stuff that didn't work for long.

I heard somewhere that a woman's urethra is larger than a mans. Hopefully that will go in your favor.
