you guys are good, I have 5000 miles, but i have been riding at a pretty strenuous pace for my area, I am going on a 2K mile trip so that should help

you people doing 10K + how do you like changing the tires that often?

Dunlop E3 Radial on my 1600... got 14k out of the last rear and still had some left but didn't want to chance it for Red Lodge.
Front tire has 20k on it and still plenty of tread.

Rear has 6k on it, so I figure I've got 8-10k left... I'll change the front with the next rear tire change.

It sucks. Seems like I'm getting a new rear tire every 2-3 months (rear only lasts ~5k miles). Oddly, my Z1000 seems to eat tires up faster than the ZX-10R.

for 2008 - i only got ~ 10K miles... so i am not a winner but not bad either... if i did not spend a month on business crap trips i would have and could have done MUCH better

10k's nothing to sneeze at. I won't have much more than that for the race. I'm at 14.7k for the year.

Building a new rider so I'll have a chance. Reliability kicked my butt this year. I know, IRONIC. Remember, I'm dealing with 30 year old stuff.

Anybody got a spare KZ650 hanging around?? It'd still be 30 year old stuff.
