...and I don't even believe in luck! Yesterday while I was running errands for my wife and taking all of the nieces and nephews to the mall, on the way home we happened to pass a house that was selling window blinds. They happened to have one of those Midway Arcade machines that plays a whole bunch of "classic" video games; it's not quite a full size upright but it's pretty close. It's a little dusty with some cobwebs and a couple parts of the decorative paper are ripped but it's completely intact other wise...and it works perfectly! All for the bargain price of $60! I didn't have a chance to snap a pic of it but this is what it is:
Midway 12-in-1 Home Arcade Machine :: Gizmos for Geeks
As some of you know, my wife is staying at my sister-in-law's house with the new baby for a month so she has no idea that it's in the living room. It should be interesting to see her reaction next week when she gets home for the first time with the baby. Do you think that finishing the baby's room will be enough to off-set the game?
Satan's Hollow and Defender Two...here I come!

that's a deal
i envy that deal of yours
That is cool.
Make her dinner the first night back just to be sure.
I'd rather you offend me with the truth than appease me with a lie.
yep that might work lol it will be extra nice if everything is done and cleaned.... you know floors mopped, cabinets cleaned windows washed etc that might keep you out of trouble!!
Lets examine the facts.... You have a new baby. Wifey is staying with sister temporarily. You see Video game and buy it. You didn't ask permission or discuss it with wifey.
Do you have a garage or basement or your own personal manly domain within your castle? Get it out of the living room!!
Your Thread should have been titled "Wow, I lucked out...now somebody HELP ME!!!! I need Advice"![]()
It was funny, I was so excited after the guy told me the price, I immediately said, "I'll take it". And do you know what the 11 y/o nephew said? He said, "Uncle Ed, I would've talked him down to $50". The other nephew and two nieces agreed...can you believe kids these days! I did feel kind of dumb after he said that...I guess I could learn from them.
Damn nice find.... enjoy the gaming.

Oh man, I've been trying to clean everything for the baby's sake--not just to keep my wife happy. I think that I might be able to get everything done by this Saturday night! If that doesn't work, how about if I tell her that the electric breast pump that I bought her cost me than 5 times more than the video game did?
LOL! I guess the garage is mostly mine but with two vehicles, two bikes, a workbench, washer/dryer and shelving to hold the junk that we never unpacked since we moved in a little over a year ago, no video game is going to fit in there.
Let's just hope that I don't title a thread, "Hey, I was lucky--now you can be too...a video game for $50".
Cool congrats on the find. In my wifes house I guarantee (sp) it wouldn't be welcome in the living room. LMAO
When arguing with a idiot make sure he isn't...
My bike 2010 Connie...
You are obviously under stress if you think that a new mother is going to welcome this game in her livingroom. Shake head vigorously then get it out, NOW. Park car on street whatever, but don't let that thing be the first thing she sees when she gets home.
You know, Eidian, if you have one of those walk paths leading from your front door to either the driveway or street, then you might better plant bushes of red roses and tulips along the path as well.
Paint the exterior of the house.
Give the lawn a manicure.
Sell the motorcycle and get new carpet.
What else?!? Anybody want to add?!?![]()
What a deal! I used to spend hours playin' Joust. Have Bob Seger playin' on the jukebox and a cig between my lips. ROFL
Good deal. Clean up but leave something for wifey. You don't want her to feel un needed. Call her and ask her where to put your new treasure.
