Tim Russert collapsed and died at nbc studios today from an apparent heart attack... sad news.

He was definitely held in high regard by many and that is a reflection of his character. I think journalism lost a friend today.

Indeed - he was also a lifelong Yankees fan and sat on the board of directors for the Hall of Fame. Not only did journalism lose a friend, but baseball as well.

Yes, I remember him most about that book. Had much the same relationship with my Dad as well. Dad's gone now but not forgotten, especially on the Father's Day weekend. Call your Dad's everyone! Don't wait.....
