Thumbs up Never take this forum forgranted....

I was hanging out on another (unmamed) Motorbike forum, and I could not believe the flaming, insults, verbal diarrhea, lack of informed opinion, personal attacks, and @#$%^& words present.

It really makes me appreciate what is going on here. Everyone seems so well behaved, and respectful of the other members. Even those times when the temperature of a topic rises (i.e. gun control, right to life, peace vs. war, etc.) people here seem to keep it under control. I don't think that in my short time here I have ever seen a real personal attack on someone. Forum members by and large seem to realize that you got to have a sense of humour here, and in this world in general.

Anyway, I for one apprecite the topics covered, questions posed, answers given, and opinions given by all the members and moderaters here.

Somehow all of the "good" folks just gravitated to this site.

...Gives me a warm fuzzy...

I couldn't agree with you more Carlo. I left another bike forum for the above mentioned reasons. I began to hang out here and quickly discovered that I had found the kind of site that I wanted to enjoy spending time at...and it has been a real pleasure getting to know many of you regulars...even Woody! <B/G>

Thank you Beartooth and all of the members here for making this an enjoyable place to visit.

This place is the best. I think we're all getting to know each other; the place feels a bit like the neighborhood pub to me. I feel right at home. I'm really looking forward to meeting some of the great folks here in person this summer.

You know Cary, I was thinking of dropping spok's name in my post. Just as an exception to the rule. LMOL.
But you know, I thought I would give the guy a break.

Like many of you, I left another major kawasaki forum because of the constant attacks and bickering. I enjoy discussing many topics just as long as it is done with civility. There are times where you have to agree to disagree.

Remember Carlo...we all put our names in another thread so Julie would know...who is who...and as I recall....spok posted his name there as well. Shall we add it here as well?

Like many of the others, I too gravitated to this site from another Kawi site for similar reasons. The deciding factor was when I saw posts from the so-called moderators & admin which echoed the same sort of gutter talk as regular members. Altho I do not post often, I do visit this site several times each day and enjoy the civilized atmosphere.

I like the fact that we can joke around and get a little off color once in a while, but no one carries it too far. It's just right.

this place has been one of my favorite forums for a loooong time. I've just noticed lots of other forums filled up with stupid people and run by the same (not saying that I'm not stupid, just not their kind of stupid).

Glad everybody feels this way about this forum, it makes the hard work (ha!) worth it.

Trike, you are absolutely correct about not taking this forum for granted. Also, don't underestimate it's effect. I'm not sure anyone really knows how much effect it really has.

Had it not been for this forum, I probably would not have considered a KAW. All my friends ride hondas & harleys & I got a lot of encouragement in those directions while shopping. I literally stumbled across this forum & watched for a while before joining. The atmosphere & attitudes almost instantly made me want to be a part so I started looking at KAW. Of coarse as you all already knew from your own bikes, when I saw a 1600 it was love at 1st site & when I sat on her, well....the way she kinda pinched my butt, it was all over. You all know what I'm talking about.

Bottom line....the tasteful atmosphere, the humor, the eagerness to share knowledge & wisdom & the feeling of home that is found here drew me to KAW.

I couldn't be any happier!
Thanks to you all.

Julie, you hit it right on the head, it feels just like sitting down at a table and enjoying the beverage of you choice with friends.

If you think about it, both of us have invited people that we have never met to stay at our houses this summer, and I have never had any qualms about it, it seems as though, it is like having friends come and visit, so I guess in my opinion, it just goes to show the type of quality of people that are members here, and everybody should be proud of that.
