great movie. Joker was hilarious/evil at the same time, yet I was rooting for him just to see what he would do next.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

This movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Think: "Seven". Think: "Untouchables". I was blown away by Ledger's joker. How many knives did that guy carry??

The scene where he fights Bats...wow...brutal, crazy...violent. I LOVED every second.

I liked when he was dressed as a nurse, plus everytime he described how he got the scars it was a different story.

Yeah, that was like his origin in the comics. He remembers it differently each time. He prefers his past to be "multiple choice".

Ledger did an amazing job. That's the only time I've ever thought the Joker was a complete psycho.

i haven't seen it yet...... i'm not a big fan of the batman movies, but i want to see this one. Such a tragedy that a legend of the screen, particularly an Aussie one, was lost to us so early in his life.

I have to add to concur. This is one of the best movies I have seen in a while. definitely worth paying to see on the big screen. IMAX would have been awesome but it was sold out all weekend.

Great great great movie.

I was very pleased...The Joker was great, I really like Morgan Freemans character as well... But The joker was really well portrayed as a psycho, that he is...

I wasn't that impressed. Ledger's Joker was good. Some of the explosion scenes were excellent. Bayle's Batman wasn't very good. I couldn't get past his lisp when he was using the "Batman voice". You naturally focus on his mouth, and it got old to me. Freeman was good, but he always is.

I didn't see any Oscars, except maybe for special effects.

It's a good movie, not great. It kept my attention, and it's a long movie.

I kind of felt it stole some plot from the Saw movies.

It will out sell a bunch of tickets, though.

I'm a little slow to the party. Was busy going to movies all weekend!
We went to a private viewing of the Dark Knight yesterday morning. I totally enjoyed it. I know there was a lot of hype about Heath Ledger's performance and honestly, that wasn't my driving force to go see. But man oh man. He did not disappoint. Heath Ledger was amazing (as were the rest of the cast). How can you go wrong with that group? I faithfully read Batman's Dark Knight comics and I got to tell you, Ledger's performance was what I'd imagine the Joker would be like if he were real. Not only is he a totally psycho but he's unnerving and gets pure satisfaction from chaos and murdering people for no apparent reason. Freaks me out reading him.

I think the plot of the movie flowed well too. They crammed a lot of information into 2 1/2 hours and did it that the Batman novice could follow without being confused. Sometimes big movies leave a lot of holes...not this one. Two thumbs up from me.

I normally like to avoid theaters, but this is one I'd like to venture out to see. The reviews and the trailers I've seen have my curious to see if it lives up to all the hype. From all accounts so far it seems that it definitely does!

Glad you got to see it, and liked it!

Now I'm spent. Do I even want to see X-Files? I'll see Dark Knight again next weekend, but that story was so heavy I really had to rest afterwards. I hate that I had to wait until I was 37 to see a great Batman movie (I grew up on Dennis O'Neil Batman--dark, mysterious and cool).

I'm kind of torn about going to see the X-Files movie in the theater. I was a fan of the series, enjoyed the first movie, but it is so far removed and the previews make me think it is previews for the TV show. I dunno. We'll see how the mood strikes next weekend.

You're right. Dark Knight was heavy. When we left the theater some of the scenes snuck up on me hours later and I was all about wanting to talk about the movie. My poor husband.

Too awesome for words!!! Ledger's Joker sets a whole new bar. Kudos too for Harvey Dent (even if they didn't stick to the original storyline - still worked well).

I missed the opening midnight show but I did catch the 3:15 am Friday morning I-MAX and I was not disappointed at all. I absolutely enjoyed it and may be one of the movies that I will see in the theater again before it hits dvd.

Yea...that was an "interesting" scean....to say the least. I don't mind gore in a movie at all. Heck, I got a kick out of Sweeney Todd. But I found myself flinching wondering what the Joker was gonna do to his victim. He was that unnerving. I kept reminding myself that the movie was rated PG-13 and they wouldn't show anything. This coming from a girl that laughed when Hannibal Lecter cut a piece of brain from a living talking victim!!! The new Rambo movie had body parts all over the place and I was going Oh...HO...Ah MAN! No....I flinch at the Joker holding a knife in someones mouth. WHAT THE?......
