Thumbs down Wheels in Fargo Sucks! Waited almost three months and NO BIKE!

I was so excited to get my very first bike. I am a 37 year old female that has always wanted to ride. I finally got the courage up to get a little starter bike a Black Ninja 250 in May. So, I put my $300 deposit down after being promised I would receive my bike either the first week of June or the last week of June as they were doing me a favor by putting me on the list when another rider backed out. That should have been my first clue. Now it is almost August and everyone knows in North Dakota you only have so long to ride.... I still have no bike. I have a lowering kit, stickers, helmet, license, and took the safety course. These people are a bunch or morons and made my very first purchase a memorable one but to the negative. I don't know if I will ever even remotely try to purchase another Kawasaki after this and being on a military base neither will many of the people I speak to. Customer Service is the key and these Yahoo's have not even apologized and Kawasaki's reply is "We can't guarantee when they will be delivered" but of course that is NOT what they initially said.

very sorry to hear you are having a chore getting your ride. try giving Beartooth Kawasaki a call, maybe they can find you the bike of your dreams

welcome aboard, we'd love nothing more than for you to get your ride and become a ride loving fiend and constant poster.

Thanks! If I can get my deposit back I might just do that... Just want to be out on the road instead of watching everyone else ride. :^(

i'd say you have a legitimate reason to get your deposit back. honestly how long have they sat on it? either they have stock or not.

I agree with Spok. Get your deposit back and look elsewhere. Actually, start looking elsewhere and wait to get your deposit in the unlikely event your bike comes in. Please don't judge Kawasaki based off of one bad dealer. The 250 is in high demand right now because of gas prices. My dealer has been out of them for some time. Good luck and welcome nonetheless.

would have to check with some of the kawi people on the board, but I am hearing there is a serious shortage of ninja 250's out there, with the gas prices, everyone is waiting to get them

Perhaps after some complaining and asking for your money back they would be willing to negotiate for something they have in stock. Just a thought, but if you have already made a firm decision on what you want then of course just get your deposit back. Demand the deposit back that day, if they give you a hard time then demand the deposit plus interest back that day. You will not get that, so now you can file in small claims court for deposit plus interest.

it took my friend two months to get her's. she just picked it up on friday. her's got recalled due to the tire issue they were having.

she even called kawa directly and that's what they told her.

but hang in there, cause when she first put the deposit down, they told her the end of june, then it was middle of july, then it was the end of july.

but she's riding and happy.

ANY Brand dealer is pretty much in the same boat. (altho they dont have to be rude about it) They are so busy hiring salespeople for pushing smaller bikes out the door that service is a lower priority. Id suggest leave your deposit unless you SEE something in stock somewhere else. Or go to Ebay.

Welcome to the forum...If you`re looking for a nice 250 Ninja you might want to PM Svetlana..She just bought another bike and might be wanting to sell off her Ninja...I understand it looks and runs like BFN..
