    Default Work around the house

Yup, off topic... since I just ordered 24 Ton of crusher run for delivery this Saterday, I started thinking about all of the projects that have been building up for the spring..

1- spread mass amount of stone for driveway..
2- buy and plant 20ish 8ft pine trees for border ($$$ ouch)..
    3- build a garage..
4- try out new cub cadet garden tractor..
    5- get the garden going!!

Any plans for outside work this spring?

Yep, Last year I ripped out some junipers up by the road and that area now exposed to the sun has become a weed hatchery. I'm going to churn up the soil, carry it off via wheelbarrow to the woods, place down landscaping cloth and dump 6 to 9 yards of beauty bark. I will bark the entire bed.

Also need to build a storage shed in the backyard so that I can get the lawn/yard equipment out of the garage, i have better uses for that.

We're finishing up with the bathroom remodel.

Going to schedule Home Depot to carpet the living room & hallway for now.

The garage needs a cleaning and organization.

We may paint the entire rest of the inside if we can fit it in.

The other bathroom needs new tile also.

And other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Boy, is that a loaded question.....
    Inside:
    1. Move washer and dryer out of laundry room and into garage (including plumbing and 220). Done.
    2. Convert laundry room to mud room by building a big built-in with adjustable shelves, cabinets, floor-to-ceiling. Done.
    3. Build big desk for sunroom to accomodate the computer stuff and family business stuff. Finishing this weekend.
    4. Remodel daughter's bathroom to get rid so bad drywall and re-seal. Done.
    5. Turn present computer room / office into spare bedroom. This weekend (maybe).
    6. Remodel kitchen, new appliances, countertop, refinish cabinets. Next.

    Outside:
    1. Get rid of 5 Holly trees along side of driveway - smooth out ground.
    2. Re-do front flower beds. Try to keep stuff alive this year (for a change).
    3. Pressure wash house and re-vitalize vinyl siding.
    4. Cut 2 feet off top of pirvacy fence, shape to be more open and friendly.
    5. Open pool. Fix hot tub. Build pool house.
    6. Get rid of old tupperware shed and landscape that area.
    7. REpair deck steps so they aren't slanted anymore.
    8. Paint upstairs and downstairs porches and back deck
    9. Put a new mailbox up.
    10. Figure out what's wrong with the front yard lamp, fix.
    11. Dig a crush-and-run area in the back yard for the boat trailer.
    12. Etc, etc....

Maybe I'll just have a drink and take a nap.

well I have gotten all the walls built and sided on my garage and now just waiting for the weather to cooperate and my friend to bring in his Cat skidsteer so we can get the trusses up and the roof finished, It would of gone better if woody the master carpenter would of came down or any other of you jokers but alas, i had to do it myself, of course with construction come more troubles as the overhead electric wires now have to be buried, as they are to close to the garage and then the house has to have an updated electrical box and wiring, boy, it just keeps getting more expensive everyday

    For now no outside projects.
We live in a townhouse so "strata fee's" take care of our surroundings very nicely thank you.
It's all gonna change soon though. We are 99.9% ready to put the place up for sale. Then it's time to look for a garage with an attached house (priorities you see).
Whatever we buy, it is going to have a low maintanence landscaped yard.
It gets too hot and dry here too spend all that time and effort watering the lawn.
I know that whatever we find, if it has carpet we will be replacing it with laminate. I don't like carpet, well other people's carpet in my home anyways.
So you want to buy a sportbike as your first bike and have questions?

thats what caused problems last year. I was riding all the time, so I couldn't water or mow the grass...

but if you don't water it, it still rains, and the grass still grows... gotta mow down the bush eventually.

If you water the lawnmower, it will resolve any future mow the lawn issues. And free up a lot of time as well.
    Glad I could help.

How about some green indoor-outdoor carpet over that lawn?

well, i'm afraid in my case, its a bit too late to try to off the boy, see he's been seen in public a few times now and folks will begin to wonder and ask tough questions. So, i'll just stick with the plan of thats his job now.
