Default My theory is proven true!

I've had this theory, in relation to the differing (how should I say) "attitudes" of Canadian border officers as compared to US border officers.
Over they years, I've noticed that the US boder officers were a darn sight more friendly, inviting, and accomodating than our Canadian ones. (Yes, the ones who my tax dollars fund).

My theory, in a nutshell, goes like this:
The Canadian border officers do not carry sidearms, and they have to spend their entire day looking across at their American brothers, who conduct the exact same type of work, and get to pack. I summised that because of this, it made them sour, and somewhat envious, and who better to take their "attitude" out on, than the very citizens of the Country they are required to protect and serve.
As compared to the American border officers, who 99% of the time treat us with the great respect.

We have had the oppurtunity to cross the border twice in the past 2 weeks, and I immediatly noticed something "just not quite right". On both occasions as we returned to Canada, the border officers were cordial, inviting, and just downright friendly.
As we pulled away, in disbelief, I noticed (in both cases)...........a shiny black firearm holstered on their side.

I can now say that my study has been completed. So thank you to whoever is responsible for arming our border officers, and the subsequant change in "attitude".

You forgot to mention also that no Canadian's or American's were hurt in this study. LOL Cool observation my man. Funny but probably right.

I think it's you Carlo. I've heard the US guards are fearful of the Ferrari name.

I always feel more friendly with a pistol strapped to me! Funny thing, people are more friendly to me when they see the gun. I wonder how that works?
