hmmm. i honestly don't know or care if he killed his wife... and i honestly don't know or care if he did the robbery kidnapping thing.... but the one thing that could annoy me is that he was probably deemed guilty by the jury because he was found not guilty for the murder of his wife.

I bet the jury found it hard to try and judge him soley for this case if they had believed that he was guilty for the murder of his wife.
I'd be interested to see if their verdict would have been different if they weren't told the name of the defendent...

From what I've read, the evidence was pretty damning in the case of this robbery. They had him on tape and everything. Who knows, I'm just as sick of him as everyone else. Hard to believe it was 13 years ago and that white Bronco was on every channel in the country.

With all the damning evidence at his murder trial, including DNA evidence all over the place, you can still honestly say you don't know if he was guilty? I agree with you about the jury but where on earth are you going to find a jury that knew nothing of Simpson"s sordid past?

Not the least bit frightening to someone who tries to live their life right and do the right thing - regardless of the fact it's usually not the easy thing to do. Most of the people I know are like this... with the few, ineviatable exceptions...

They were interviewing the jury and the defense lawyers today. It was sort of funny that the lawyers were complaining about the jury, the judge, etc. etc. When ask about it one jurer summed it up. "They picked us for the jury, they don't get to come back now and say they didn't want us."

As to why they convicted, they all said that they didn't believe the witnesses (not the forensic or police- just those "friends" and enemys of OJ), but what got him convicted was the 6 minutes of audio tape.

Deadly accurate on all counts. Was there REALLY a juror who could answer the question "have you ever heard of OJ Simpson?" and not have an opinion of SOME kind?

There isn't anyone of this thread yet that could... whether you agree or not, it's what the justice system is founded on... "IMPARTIAL?"

I admit that I'd have a hard time being "impartial" when someone was so clearly guilty.

There is no karma in the bible. We are told not to judge. That is true. But, we are told to be discerning. I discern that he is a liar, a thief and a murder. In matters concerning this earth, we are to yield to the authorities appointed over us. The government is appointed over us and we yield to it. The government has found him guilty and will exercise their requisite punishment.

But, that doesn't mean that I won't be pleased if he is sentenced to life.

Didn't one of the "dream team" pass away not too long ago? Not making a joke about it, just sayin.

The bad thing is he will get the verdict thrown out due to the judge allowing the tape talking about guns to be heard even though there were evidence of possible altercations. That was the only proof they had besides the witnesses who pleaded. Don't get me wrong I think he is guilty, but I believe in the long run he will get away with this too.

Doubt it.
Whether the tape was altered or not, there was apparently enough on it to convince the jury even though the analyst stated in open court that he could not state absolutely that it had not been altered.

It's not like the tape was pieced together the way radio DJs do with politician's tapes. Editing may or may not change the meaning, but the facts are the facts and "nobody leaves" means guilty of kidnapping under Nevada law.

I may be the only one to think that it's really sad. Here is a guy that was adored by football fans for many years and he winds up a prisioner in Vegas of all places. Very sad. Maybe he can share a cell with Michael Vick.

The only sad thing is the collection of choices that he made in his life that have resulted in him becoming a convicted felon.

I have no sympathy for him.
I do for his kids.
