Interesting Biker Stories.......

Not too long ago I was parked in front of Cycle Gear. When I came out there was this guy next to his bike. He was a lot older than me (I'm 57) with a long gray beard and he was tightening down gear, so to speak. He had an older Sportster from the 70's (I'm guessing). He had old, beat up wooden cases for saddlebags and a bicycle strapped to his sissy bar along with other odds and ends hanging here and there. His tattered leather jacket had seen better days.

As we were parked next to each other, we started talking. He was just traveling here and there (so he said). We actually spent most of the time talking about my bike as he was really interested in it. After about ten minutes he took off into the distance. I never got to ask him about he bicycle and was surprised to see him so deftly ride off into the daylight. He did say his motorcycle was perfectly balanced with all that stuff - not to mention I could here it was perfectly tuned and ran great. You wouldn't know it by looking at that Harley.

I admired him for being an individual and not caring about the latest chrome bling. I'm sure he has a story to tell, but it's not my place to ask - just a friendly conversation for the moment was enough. I believe I met a true biker in the real sense of the word!!!!!!
