Default Not just in the good old USA

Wow, I thought you couldn't even think about having a gun in the UK. Guess you have to be careful of your "uniform" no matter where you ride.

Wow, that's pretty crazy. I thought the same myself.

I guess firearms can be obtained no matter what, if you want to go through those types of channels.

Crazy stuff.

It's sad. No matter how stringent the gun laws the bad guys can still get them. Only the good guys follow the laws. (well usually)

I believe every citizen should be required to own a rifle and taught how to use one. That way, it's not just the bad guys. And if you are stupid enough to try to come rob me in my house knowing I have a gun and was trained to use it, well, you get the gist.

Outlawing guns means only outlaws have guns. I think every one should know how to use a gun and have one!

Ut ballista es interdico tantum interdico mos usus ballista.

Translation:

When catapults are outlawed only outlaws will possess catapults.

That's the Latin lesson for today.

The problem with gun laws:

The responsible gun owners are those who follow the laws and are registered and all. We pay all the fees, follow background checks, waiting periods, etc. Usually those people who are willing to do all that aren't the ones shooting up the local quick marts or banks or drug dealers, but somehow we (the responsible ones) are the ones "taxed" for it. The thugs who are doing the wrong things don't go by legal channels to begin with, otherwise most of them wouldn't be able to get guns to start. The process to buy a gun, especially a handgun, isn't cheap or fast. I don't mind the process, but I do mind having to pay for others misuse.

After they pass some more gun control laws and get all the guns out of peoples hands, maybe they can pass laws to make heroin and cocaine illegal. Then we won't have a drug problem anymore.

LOL....agreed, its ludicrous.

Everyone should carry a gun, then no one has more fire power than the rest, so hopefully all would get along.

Or at least not have a small group of hardened criminals running around killing innocent people.
