Smile Happy Thanksgiving all you Canucks!

Here's to hoping all my Canuck brothers and sisters have a great long weekend, and a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner Monday.

We just pulled three awesome homemade pumpkin pies out of the oven, which is our contribution to our early Thanksgiving dinner tonite.

Let's also hope this great weather sticks around and gives us a chance to get out on the bikes tomorrow. And that is something to be truly thankful for.

Cheers,
Carlo.

Happy Thanksgiving.

So, do you eat Turkey and stuffing, or is there a different traditional dish up there in the North Country?

We have a traditional meal consisting of seal meat with a whale blubber gravy. We still use cranberries (though we like them frozen), and obviously pumpkin pie is a must. (though we serve the pie during the middle of a hockey game and eat it with our skates)

And the other tradition is we usually allow the dogs on the sled team to also eat some fesh seal meat, and the best part of all is we have light in the igloo on Thanksgiving, because we light candles.
Normally we eat in the dark....its not easy lighting the igloos here in canada.

Contrary what you beleive I will take seal meat over turkey. It tastes much better......semi frozen sliced into thin slices.....then sizzles lightly in the pan......make cream sauce or mushroom sauce or just plain cream sauce with cranberry jam and fresh potatoes........Yummm.

Tell me Carlo, is it easy to get seal meat up there in Canada?

Ya for him living in OK falls its very easy.
They chase the seals over the water fall, and they plummett to their death.

Then you just go pick them up a liitle ways down stream as they float by.

Its a little harder for us where I live.

I send the wife around in the rowboat, to scare them onto the beach, where I club them.

Its great having Kamloops my homewtown right near the shore of the Atlantic ocean.

Happy Thanksgiving all! We're feasting today on turkey, stuffing, squash, turnip/apple casserole, mashed taters, grean beans, pumpkin pie and apple pie. For sure I'll have a couple of cold ones while watching some football prior to the big feast. Enjoy!!!

OMG, I can't move... I feel like the seal that everyone fattened up for Thanksgiving... Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potoates, corn, green bean salad, said NO to the turnip (EWWW), gravy all over everything... and because I wasn't stuffed enough, a piece each of pecan pie and chocolate cake. WOW.

And it's supposed to be gorgeous, sunny and 70+ tomorrow... gonna have to dial up the rear suspension methinks!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING CANUCKS!!!

We lucked out and had two (count 'em 2!) Thanksgiving dinners. Both complete with pumpkin pies..............not to mention the leftover turkey that we stuffed into our faces for lunch today. Yum!
