Off Topic: as some of you might know, I'm going through a divorce. I applied for a reduced rate attorney in the state my ex husband lives in since I cant seem to find a Maine attorney that can also practice in NH. I got a response today from the referral program that claims... get this... I make too LITTLE income for their reduced-rate attorneys. And I cant find any pro bono attorneys in NH. Meanwhile, my ex has a nasty female attorney who already tried to pull one over on me with the filing of the divorce petition. Hence no sleep for the last few days...

Lee, can you go to any of the state agencies where you live and get any kind of legal help at all? They may have somebody who's certified in both states.

Department of human services/department of children's services, etc?

Yup, they can "assist" me in giving advice and such, but they wont come to court with me or represent me.

Any little bit would be a step in the right direction.
