I don't believe so. Some people just choose to hate. Seems to make them happy for some reason. People are people IMO. You can make random connections if you want for how one persons life-style affects others, but I like to keep it simple. You do something TO someone, then you're a bad person. Otherwise, you can just avoid them if you don't like them.

Go figure. Oddly enough, it had pretty much NOTHING to do with Disney!

Ya, I kinda caught the gist of it in FLVulcan's quote (before trike so aptly pounced upon it within the last couple of minutes!)

Unbelievable. Must be cabin fever... brain freeze... hey, it's -39 with the wind here this morning, and I'm not acting any more whacked than I usually am!!!

Am I?

I don't really want to back up the idiot who got banned, but....It has A LOT TO DO WITH DISNEY. He was actually informing you of very important information. I wasn't going to say anything, but in FLorida, everyone knows what the first week of June is and it's not really a good sight to see in some people's opinions. Call it what you want, but the fact is, he was doing a favor by pointing it out to people. Although he was too blunt about it and told off Tod is another thing, but I think his intention in the first place by letting people with families know, was a good thing to do.... especially if you have family with little ones going.

The best way to put it is, please be aware of any special "Themed Weekends or Event's" by checking with your Travel Agent, or Disney's website.

This is a wise thing to do if you would like to avoid groups with differences you'd like to avoid.

I don't disagree with that. There are plenty of people who are uncomfortable with someone different than them or than what they think is "right". That's why I just took it in stride as I didn't see any "bashing" in what he said in that particular post. But, there's been other things that lead to it...oh...and just lighting in to Tod I'm sure didn't help!

That's actually pretty good advice for any vacation you might be planning to take, anywhere.

Funny story about that. A couple that Crysti and I know went to a travel agency to book their Honeymoon and wanted to go to Jamaica. They were unaware of any "special events" and apparently the agent was BRAND NEW and oblivious to it (know the event?)! Ended up booking them for a killer all-inclusive deal...on the more "liberal" side of the island for that party. Needless to say it was eye opening for them! But, they took it in stride and made the most of it.

I'll grant you the fire danger but I've lived in CA for 20+years and haven't been in one earthquake.

I lived in FL 2 years (79-81) and almost got hit by a hurricane (Frederick 79).

LoL.... The fact is, Disney Land is like 1/100th the size of Disney World. I would much rather experience the magic of Disney World.

My wife knew a couple that booked an "Amazing Cruise Deal" at about half what they expected to pay.
Imagine their surprise when as soon as the ship pulled out of port, the "Nudist Cruise" got into full swing (so to speak).
Like your friends, they made the most of it, and really enjoyed themselves anyway. They never said whether or not they "went native" though.

That is what I heard, Disney World is better than D. Land. Lots of package deals out there...I already have at least 3 co-workers that went with their entire family and enjoyed their adventure. My sister and her family just came back from Disney W a month ago. I am due to go back soon...but I will have to wait. A bike ride to Disney is not out of the picture.

If you decide to do it, I wouldn't mind getting a lot of Florida riders together for dinner.

Definitely Disney World. I have done it many times as an adult (used to go to a lot of conferences) and it is a lot of fun. I would recommend staying on the property if your budget allows. They have a bus that goes to all parks so you do not have to worry about driving. But you do have to wait sometimes.

Someone once recommended the Unofficial Guide to Disney World to me. I liked it. Amazon.com: The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides): Bob Sehlinger, Len Testa: Books Not a must have but you may want to go to the local bookstore and take a look and see if it would be helpful.
