I agree that the pipes don't fit the look. I personally wouldn't paint the ones you have black. I sold my cobras for almost what I paid for them. If you paint them they won't be work much. Heres the set I made out of the stockers. http://s586.photobucket.com/albums/s...t=f5554ee3.jpg
I've since painted the tips black, I like the look of the tan, it breaks up the bike a bit. I don't know why my pictures never show up right??!?!?!? Last edited by billymac814 : 2 Weeks Ago at 09:37 AM. Reason: I'm dumb |

Yes I could get $$$ for the V H cruisers, I have my stockers, so Billy , "How U Do That?" at what point did you cut yours and how much did you add, did you use the same mounts? You know me Questions but this a "how to" place for everyone to read

No idea about the color. It is black until light shines on it, then it turns bluish-gray-purple. I love it, but have no idea what touch up paint to buy. It has couple of scratches. |

Hey Ram, i drilled 2 holes in the cross bar that matched the bolts coming out of the seat bottom. I bent a tongue that would slip up under the tank mounting bolt. the seat bolts go inside the holes about 3/4" and seat rest on the cross bar
The seat is not bolted on, I can just left it off, but with the tongue and the bolts in the holes, and my weight sitting on top, ain't going nowhere, there is no side to side movement. here is some pic's ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have the frame cover that hides the wiring. This is as low as seat can go without cutting off the cross bar and moving the battery, Since I lowered the front of my bike, i don't feel like I am sitting on a slope. I still like the looks of the spring seat. Last edited by goddarddr : 1 Week Ago at 01:45 PM. |

Finished up my exhaust. Inspired by the pic spitbeard posted. I wanted to do a more sever angle at the end but I had the 45s so I went with them.

Does this help? I originally mounted mine the same as above but with 3 inch springs and thought it was way to high and too far forward for me. I wanted to stretch my legs a little.
So this is with the cross bracket cut off and new brackets mounted from the frame ready to hold the base mounting for the seat. http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/y...Image031-1.jpg This has the lugs in place and the plastic cut off, re routed the fuse box and CDi ![]() then I made an aluminium cover for the battery and wiring so it was neat and it does tend to rain a little here in the UK..!! ![]() This was the end result Hope this helps? ![]()
