No the one I peaced together is not dot approved, here in NH you dont have to wear a helmet so when I do wear one I like it to look good and it has to do more then when I dont wear one at all. I also live near the boarder of MA where you ave to wear one and I never get called out on it by the po po

It's probably better than nothin. I always just end up not wearing one but lately I've been wanting to not die if (when)I wreck. I seen a helmet that wasn't dot approved only because it wouldn't pass the penetration test where they basically ram a spike into it. So I'm sure it would protect against some other stuff. You can get Dot stickers online too Although I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for wearing a novelty one.

Yea I hear ya. I sometimes wear my chicks full face in the winter too. It is nice and much warmer. I laid my bike down a few weeks ago because of some a hole that cut me off. I was 20ft from my house. I was able to hop off and escape injury but it got me thinking.

im kinda stealing alley rats thunder here. sorry brudda. we got the bars welded to the risers. cut down the uprights you see in the second photo. alley built some slugs to go inside the bars for more strength at the weld joint. and we have the bends for the grip section of the bars. gotta tweek the bends a little to get ya some more pull down. point is, they look *****in. we had em bolted to my bike for placement and tacking em up. they're pretty effin rad.
