Cobra has a bracket that lets you mount it under the swingarm where the goat's belly was mounted. One came with my Slashcuts.

Just wanted to say thanks Constrictor for the easy write up. I did it this weekend in about 10 minutes. My 1500 had holes in the front already and I moved the rectifier which was already in place to the right side so the wires could reach the left mount and even was able to use the stock bolts. Piece of cake and it looks great.

A rectifier is an electrical device, comprising one or more semiconductive devices such as diodes arranged for converting alternating current to direct current.

Thumbs up

thanks for the info on this mod. i did it over the weekend, the only thing i did differently is i made a bracket to span between the left and right frame tabs. then drilled two holes to center the rectifier. a little black paint, some stainless nuts and bolts and now my meanie looks meaner. thanks again!

Fantastic write up! I am looking at a 1500 to buy just now, and think that I will be printing these pics as a guide. if I buy the bike.

A great service you provide.

I stumbled onto this site while trying to find modifications for the expense challenged (cheap joker.) These are some pretty simple, sweet mods. Why didn't the techs at Kawasaki think of this???? Anyway, two thumbs up for the tutorial and keep up the good work. Meanstreaks are hard to accessorize/modify but make it simple. Big thanks.

Wow!! A very easy mod! And it cleans up the swingarm area very nice. Almost gives it a drag look. Thanks for the mod.
