Default Dual-sport bobber project

Alright after debating for several weeks im finnaly gonna do it. Im gonna convert my 01 Ke100 into a hardtail bobber. So far ive got the frame idea's down. Ill post a current photo of my already customized bike later on(gotta get the film developed). But here is a stock photo of the bike and my frame idea's. Ill post some step by step pictures as the project goes along.

Sounds very cool, question about the RPM range though... wouldn't that engine run at a higher RPM range than a typical bobber?

Definitely look forward to seeing the pics either way, and 'off-topic' love the avatar. I'm a HUGE Manowar fan. "Til the blood on your sword is the blood of a king!!".... Rock on a post pics when you can.

Wow this is going to be one of the most interesting outta left fields bobbers I've heard of in a long time. Can't wait to see how this one works out!

Both ideas look pretty sharp. The first one is definitely more classic the the second one, and it allows the rear section to be a bit more streched to make the bike slightly longer. It's such a small/short donor bike so a few extra inches wouldn't hurt.
The second one would be much easier to fabricate and I sort of like that one to. But if you have the skills, then go for the first one!

Oh, I thought about that. But I still like to take the bike off-road on occasion. itll be crazy taking it off-road once i make it a hardtail frame with a springer seat.

Yep it sure is. I crashed my bike many times off-road (and even a few times on road) and it still runs strong.

Very nice, ive always loved the decals on the 80's models. The Ke100 has such a basic design, it can be moded into anything. It sucks that they discontinued them after 2001 because of the EPA's emissions crap. This bike is the last remaining design of the 70's dirtbikes.
