Springer for my vulcan

well i started working on the springer for my bike. i got the front end and a harley 40 spoke wheel all for three hundred dollars. all i had to do was cut it because it was about 14 over, get an axle machined, and make it work in my stock neck. everything keeps going right for me. the stock A model axle fits perfectly into the wheel and i am just going to take my stem out of my lower tree and weld it into the springer so i have a perfect fit. yesterday i cut all the excess out and just have to get it welded up. i will put up some progress pictures later on today. if anyone else has done anything like this let me know.

Check this site out for detailed building pictures on a guy putting a springer on an 800. Also alot of 800's with springers on BoatRap

Very much looking forward to seeing how this works out. I'd be interested in all the details about how you get the front end to bold into the Kawasaki neck with regards to barings etc.

i am taking the stock stem and welding it into the springer so it will fit perfectly and keep all the right bearings

well here are the pictures of the springer. sorry it took so long. this is just the beginning. i will have more up once i get it welded.
