Post 2006 vulcan classic 1600

I bought this used 1600 classic at a dealer. Came with power commander, hypercharger,v&h long shots beutifull bike. Previous owner change stock handlerbar too. Well after a week knowing how to handler it I realize that when it reach 40mph it start to shake the handler bar, the dealer change the front tire and for a while the vibration stop today I was driving back home and there was a depression on the road and i notice the whoobling vibration again. ITs more noticiable if i have only one hand on the handler bar. Any one with same situation? any idea on this matter.

Sounds like the bike was layed down. The neck might be bent out of line and/or the forks might be bent. The previous owner had this problem and decided rather than fix it he would trade it in. If he sold it privately he would have to deal with an angry buyer. Instead he dumped the problem in the dealers lap. Most people sell privately because they can get more for it. If they have issues with the vehicle they dump the problem on the dealer & take the loss.

Have them replace the rear tire too, and check the torque on the steering head bearings.

Keep the tires inflated to 40/40... underinflation leads to cupping and handling issues.

Rich has a point, but I would get to the dealer asap & have them make good on the deal. If there are handling issues then it's a safety issue as well. It's not right to sell a dangerous vehicle for use on public roads. Hopefully it's less than 30 days.

Default hypercharger,air and rain

hey everyone i have a question my vulcan classic came with a hypercharger I use my bike daily and here in central Florida rains quite often. Im been told to stop if is raining, other tell me that there would be no problem cause the flaps of the hypercharger will prevent water to enter to the engine. now i relay in others expertice and experience. Thank you all.

Rain is not a problem... especially on the Hypercharger where the element is pretty well shielded.

Many are running the Caddmann and riding in rain heavier than you would care to ride in. This intake mod is a completely exposed 9" round filter element.
