Question Front fork spring replacement

Hi, Do you have to take forks off bike and teardown to replace springs? Wanting to install Progressive springs in my 2001 Vulcan 1500 FI.

go take a look at gadgets page, he has a writeup on replacing the fork springs, and instead of taking the fork tubes off to drain the oil, he uses a big hypodermic and a pice of tubing.

Yep you can't believe how much of that Dirty Smelly stuff ends up in there..

Remove, Strip, Clean all parts and replace Worn Components..

Funny thing here in the UK we went through a Faze of fitting Progressive springs but that Mod has faded away with Fitting new OEM or good aftermarket Springs and a grade up on the oil Viscosity if desired or a Tad less air gap...

Well that's my £ worth...!
