Default I've got Maille

Chain maille, that is.

Drilled some holes in my side covers and attached with cotter pins to see what it looks like. I like it, and will be adding a skirt to my rear fender when I can find of buy another rivet gun.

Hope you bought it from a reputable armorer in good standing with the Society for Creative Anachronism. Who knows that each link MUST be soldered, welded or riveted shut for durability...

Wish I'd known, my son and I make that stuff...we prefer aluminum electric fence wire, buy the 1 mile spools.

Nice look, wonder how a stainless 8 on one chain mail mudflap would look on an 800 Classic...

I got it from The Ring Lord, a place out of Canada. I ordered 2.1'' wide Strip of Welded Stainless Chainmail. It took quite a bit of pressure from the side cutters to separate it.

Can't see the pics but if you say it's cool, it's cool.

I thought that's what that was but wasn't sure. You should mount a jousting pole and freak out the HD riders.

Drilled holes on the edge and used cotter pins threaded through the rings front and back and twisted, like a bread tie.

Looks good! That theme could take you in a lot of directions with your bike. You might be opening a can of worms 'cause as they say... one thing always leads to another.

"Hmmm?, you know what would look good with he chain maile?

Enjoy the project!

Thanks, Todd. I don't do chrome, so this is as close as I can get to adding more metal!

I've seen some wild bikes, but I can't wait to see what Piece looks like when Tina gets finished and starts riding again.

I wanted to put teeth on the side covers, but remembered my legs may not like that! Will finish up the tail section today, and may add my leftover teeth from the windshield to the tail section!

Finished it up today.

Added some to the tail piece, and had a left over tooth from my windshield that I added.

Thanks, guys. It was easy to put on, but the rings are hardened, and it took some time to cut through them for the angle to match the tail angle.
