99 Vulcan 800A Bobber project

So I got my buco helmet back from pin stripe and here is what it looks like.

Weren't you getting a scallop painted on your tank? Last pic you posted of your bike the tank was still the same. Just wanted to see how it came out.

Yes I am still going to do that. I was going to do that this past weekend but never go to it. Should have it done real soon, it is next on the list.

So I had to order a new throttle sleeve, Mirror and I have a fresh scratch in the tank and tail paint. I came home last week to find my Harley (which has a dent int he tank and a bunch of other scratches now) and the bobber laying into each other. So I am in the process of fixing these two bikes to the way they were. So annoying!

How did it get knocked over?

I was storing them for the time being in a tarp garage and even though it was anchored down the bad weather we were having in NH with some strong winds blew the tarp over causing a mess.

For a little update on the bike. The shifter bolt broke on the bike, so I had to order another one from Kawi which takes 5-7 business days, so the bike will be laid up for a little bit. Which is ok because it will give me time to paint the sides of the tank black inside the pin stripes. I'll post pics when it is complete.

I painted the side of the tank yesterday, now I just have to get a brush after work today and do some touch up and then i'll post up some pictures of the new paint.

Anyone have links to other sites with bobber pictures for more ideas. Can be any make oe model of bike, just would love to see more pictures.

The project went so well that I finally came to a point where I love the bike and just enjoying the ride lately. I could do a jocket shift or I could get rid of the electrics on the handle bars but everything is clean and convenient that I dont want to touch it. I am getting a little bored though, lol. So it is for sale so I can start a new one.

It has been real easy getting attention for the sale, then people go to the bank and dont get approved! lol economy is killing me

The bobbers gone. I'll soon be buying another one most likely and will be doing it again.
