I got my bike back from pinstriping and it came out great. Here are a few pictures of the bike with it finished.

Nice job, the artist pulled some real nice lines and didn't over do it either. Look fantastic!

Looks good. Have you thought about painting something in the panel of the tank?

Purchased a newly relined Buco Vintage helmet to go along with this bobber. I have been wearing the german style helmet for two years, time to switch this up a bit.

I was in the Rockingham Motorcycle expo show this past weekend and recieved a few trophys. Nice to see the work get rewarded. Also I think my next step that I am pondering over is blacking out all the chrome on the engine by getting it powder coated the matte black wrinkle finish. I need to put a new jet kit in the carb and also wrap the exhaust still. I'll have some nice pictures of the bike as soon as I get it out of winter storage.

Oh please don't do wrinkle finish. Gloss black like the drifters would look better.

Congratulations on the trophy win Steve, that's well deserved. Obviously it's not why we build these bikes, but it sure feels good to get recognised like that!

i'll have to see what the gloss black would look like. I have gloss black on the rest of the bike so it might not be a bad idea. I'll check some pictures out of the drifter.

Here are a few pictures of the helmet I picked up. I am going to have some pin strips put on the helmet too.

I also picked up a tear drop style air cleaner to replace the hyperchager for more of a vintage look. So that means if anyone is in the market for a hypercharger Air cleaner i'll be selling mine shortly.

they say the Buco helmet is not so bubble head-space-man like the modern day.
is that true? Justified Defiance sells them

That is true I bought the Biltwell helmet and while it is a very nice helmet it still had the bubble look. I bought this helmet from Justified Defiance and it is true the bubble look went away and is much more streamline. They put a new liner in it as well.

Really? I don't think the Biltwell gives you a bubble head at all. The shape of it is really low profile. And it fits down on your head really good since it doesn't have all the hard foam in it.

The biltwell comes down on the head really nice but the shell was still to wide for my face. When I got the buco it was thinner and fit real nice. Either way they are both nice helmets, it all depends on your face shape.

I added the black exhaust wrap and also took off the Hypercharger (which is now for sale) and added the tear drop S&S looking intake which I like the look of better. I'll get picks up soon.

I noticed the bitwell comes one size fits almost all?? I can't wear a too tight helmet on my big head.
    what size fits you?

I wear a medium helmet and my face is a little thinner. The biltwell was a good helmet and fit my head but was still a little wide on the cheeks. The buco helmet fit the same on the head but provided a shell that was closer to my cheeks.
