Me and my wife are heading up there on the 15th-19th from Maryland. Have you guys set a route or day yet?

We will leave Thursday morning (15th) and stop in the catskills for the night, then leave for Burlington VT on Friday (16th), then we will leave VT Saturday (17th) and head to Shuttesbury MA, then leave Sunday (19th) back to the catskills and then head back to maryland Monday (19th). Pretty busy ride. This is my wifes first road trip and hopefully many more to come. She rides a Suzuki C50.

Ok Sat. 9-26 Ride. Will meet at the Dunkin Donuts off of Rt. 290 exit 9. Come off exit. Take a right then right at next light.
Plan on meeting around 9 a.m. Will leave Auburn, Ma. travel down 395 thru Ct. Jump on Rt. 2a to 2 down to Westerly R.I. Follow Rt. 1 out to Newport R.I. go downtown to Ft. Adams St. Park then along Ocean Drive then by the Mansions heading back over the Newport Bridge to rt. 102 up to 146 then back by the Ma. TPK entrance so all parties can access route home the easiest. Routing says ride from start to finish should be 225 miles about 6 hours riding time not counting stops of course, food, Photo's, Nature, gas etc. Let us know who's coming. I know Chris and my friend so far.

Curtis on 10th of doing a fall foliage up thru the Mohawk trail then up to Vermont on old rte. 7 to either Manchester or Rutland then probably back down to Rt. 9 Hogback Mtn. Should be the route with the most scenic and colors for us. Will try to post up an actual route in a couple days.

Warren if I get the bike back together I will see if I can meet you guys at exit 87 on 395. There is a big motorcycle dealership at that exit. 395 is on the first leg of the ride correct? From the sounds of it you guys should be in that area around 9:30-9:45?

Sounds good. Let me know Fri. nite or we can just hop off and check if you're there.
Ya it's gonna be a longgg ride I think.. Kind of a pain to bypass the Newport Bridge and go all the way around. Just gotta figure how I want to mount my ez-pass to the bike. Hope you can meet up if not then the Oct. 10 ride for sure.

Well except for getting to and from where I meet up with Warren, there haven't been any tolls during the ride.

Tolls are everywhere up here!
Locked in on all sides... can't go to NH without paying a toll... and depending where in NH you're going, tolls, tolls, tolls.... Nashua tolls. Hooksett tolls. Posrtmouth tolls. Its ridiculous! And no better in Maine. "Oh, you wanna use 95? Pay up, peckerhead!" They just raised it to $1.00! Kittery, toll. Kennebunk, toll. Portland, toll. Those b*st*rds.

The only place in RI for paying a toll is on the Newport Bridge. They just raised it to 2.00 per axle.. Thought that only included cars but a couple weeks back got a shock when it cost me 4.00 while on the bike to go over the bridge into Newport.. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up because it will be 8.00 total just to go over and back.

Yeah I thought so too when I went over it a couple weeks ago. Charging the same price for a motorcycle and a car is not right in my opinion.

Maybe I'll just go one way over the bridge. Can take Rt. 24 to get to Newport and bypass the bridge completely if need be but thought ride over both bridges would be cool. I'll make alternate route and see what the others want to do. Lightbar just came in but I think it's too late to put on. Been up since 2 pm yesterday and me eyes are groggy.

going over it both ways is fine.. just wanted to give everyone the heads up that it went up.. I think once you come off exit 87 there is a Mcdonalds on the right and a plaza right next to it.. i should be in that plaza between 9:30 and 9:45.

Cool Will be looking forward to seeing ya again. Lightbar just came in but I think too late to install. Too tired and don't want to take a chance of screwing something up. LOL
