If my buddy and I are meeting Chris at 9 there I'd say we'd be at the exit 87 location to meet you closer to 945 Call my cell number I sent you tonite or tomorrow a.m. and let it ring a couple times. I hope you guys have fun! My knee is still too trashed to do any riding. Instead, we're heading out in the cage tomorrow to meet a friend in Portsmouth. It's not riding, but it'll have to do.

Post lots of pics!!!

Wow.. we had a great day.. Met Warren and Ralph in CT and rode down to Westerly RI and took in some beach scenery. We then headed to Beavertail state park where we took in more ocean scenery..Then shot over the Newport bridge to try to find something to eat.. It was way too crowded right downtown so we headed to the outskirts and found a D'angelo's and had some subs. Then headed back over the bridge and down past URI and then lead Warren and Ralph out 165 so they could catch the highway home..All in all it was a good day.. Warren took pics that he hopefully will post later..

I'm worried about Warren.
He usually posts something about the ride when he gets back.

Been a hard week. Was up the other day for 26 hours straight. Got to bed Fri so I could be somewhat rested up for our Ride to Newport etc. Sat. Headed out around 730 a.m.Hooked up with Ralp then Met up with Curtis in Plainfield Ct. around 1010 a.m. Rode our butts off. LOL didn't get home till 630 pm. Were two separated wrecks on the highway outside of Hartford (cars) that had traffic backed up plus we have the Big E. going on in our town. One of the biggest fairs in the country. Needless to say a direct route back to my house was not going to happen. LOL Soo by the time I got home had coffee and took a longgggggg soak in the tub. I started processing the photo plus I have a couple hours of video to edit etc. also.
We had a super awesome day. As usual Riding with Curtis is a great pleasure and this time being able to meet his ladyfriend who is also a super person to meet. Curtis you one lucky man.You better take care of her. hehe
So I'll be posting photo's shortly and uploading my long drawn out video's too. Hang on I'll be back. hehe

Ok here's a long drawn out video of the second half of the ride. From the
Beavertail State Park in Jamestown to Newport R.I. Cruise ship was in port and town was loaded with tourists etc. Like I said video is long but you can skip thru it. This was done with the Go Pro Hero Wide camera and edited with Sony Vegas. Jamestown to Newport R.I. on Vimeo

The pictures are absolutely beautiful, Warren. It's too bad we couldn't join you. It truly was a beautiful day to be riding here in New England. Aren't you glad you didn't plan the ride for today?

It was a long video. Long enough to show me leaving my blinker on when trying to find a parking spot in downtown Newport..lol. It was a great day for riding.. It was cool in the morning but warmed up nicely.

Ya ended up about 322 miles. About 4 miles from my house the fuel light came on. LOL Pulled in the station down the street and it only took 4.3 gallons.
My videos tend to be long since I'm not posting on YouTube and have plenty of uploading space on Vimeo. People can just skip ahead of some of it but those that want to see most of the route can.

So you never had to get gas since the fill up in Plainfield? What was your mileage from fill up to fill up?

I believe it was around 215. Usually I am better remembering it. LOL Ran into a few traffic issues near home so after filling up getting it parked, coffee long soak, photo editing, video editing etc. I was wasted. LOL me is getting old. Trying to wake up enough now to go out and start putting the lightbar on. LOL

Not yet. I just reduced the price for the first time... from $1,800 to $1,500... a bunch of kids (18-25) have shown some interest, but one kid couldn't get a loan from the bank due to the age of my bike (2001), another kid couldn't get a loan due to his credit score, and I'm waiting on one kid who's gonna ask his mommy for the money...

[sigh] Its getting cold up here quick. I think people are thinking snowmobiles and sleds, not Kawsaki ninja's...

I havent gotten a chance to get my girlfriends camera. I actually ended up painting the fairing and unfortunately ended up messing up the clear coat so I have to really kind of start again. The paint from colorite is pricey so I might wait a bit before trying again.. I have class the next two nights but hopefully on thursday I will post the ones she took..
