Alrighty kids, I don't know how or why but I now have the complete, exact routes for Friday in my gps. I have them saved on my 'puter as *.gpb and *.gpx files (Mapsource) so if anyone knows how to post a link showing the routes and/or how to get this info to everyone else's gps please offer up some suggestions.

Hey Russ,
In looking at the original route, I was wondering if you could make a few changes....just kidding

Thanks for the update, glad you're continuing to improve. You had mentioned maybe a month ago that you were feeling much better but I couldn't help but poke a little.
Also- to update on the routing/gps thing for Friday the 27th in JCity, TN: I have in my gps the routes the way I want them from the hotel to lunch, and from restaurant to hotel via Grandfather Mtn.
I also have a route (no interstate) from The Dragon to JCity.
Since I'm a computer idiot, a couple of folks are working behind the scenes to get them posted for everyone to see. But in the meantime, if you pm me your email I'll send all 3 routes as attachments in both .gpx (exchange) and .gpb (Mapsource specific) formats and you can start now to get them correctly exported/imported to your GPS unit. It only took me a month so yoose smart peoples should get it done right off.

As someone who does not have or plan to have a gps unit, could someone also convert those to a file format that I could use to print a copy? But in the meantime, if you pm me your email I'll send all 3 routes as attachments in both .gpx (exchange) and .gpb (Mapsource specific) formats and you can start now to get them correctly exported/imported to your GPS unit. Although this has nothing to do with the trip, I am happy to say I finally had a job interview where I am a finalist. It is between me and one other person. I have a grueling round of interviews coming up with a lot of people in the company. I may not be the selected candidate but this certainly gives me hope that I may make this trip. And at least I know I still interview well.
I was actually surprised to get the call because there was one thing that the VP felt was most vital to the role and I have very little experience with that one thing. And I was honest about it. But he apparently really liked me, my personality and felt that this wasn't a deal breaker since I have the background and experience to pick it up. I guess honesty is the best way to go. At least in my experience.
