Sweet, thanks much that's one place I'll add to the must visit catagory, just wish it was close enough for a day trip instead of a over nighter. However, there is a nice KOA down in that area we have stayed at a few times

FYI, Bishops Castle:

and

http://www.moosh.net/mark/castle/

Amazing, he is still at it. I visited the castle back in '85. It just keeps growing.

Dude, you went to Bishop's Castle? LOL That guy is absolutely nuts. My dad's known him for years.

If you're ever there again, you have to buy the videotape he and his wife made to promote the castle. It's the most hysterical thing I've ever seen (not intentionally funny). Oh man, Bishop's Castle is something else.

You can stay at my parents' house in Pueblo, Joe. I'm always bringing folks from the various forums I'm on to stay with them. I'll just tell them you're coming and have them set up the guest room for you.

Thanks for the generous offer, but all 4 of us would be coming and so would Misty the Great Dane & that would be way to much

Default update

well this weekend i did quite a bit of riding.
the GF and i were unable to find anyone to ride with on saturday.....so we took off on our own.
about 150 miles of our favorite twisties.
sunday was a different story!!!
met up with a few member's from CSC and sportbikes.ws
here are the pics.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
seem's this is a popular stopping point.
a smalll group of mostly duc rider's pulled up right behind us.
which of course got nick's attention...
[IMG][/IMG]
for those that don't know....nick is the poor soul who went down on his R-1 during the steamboat ride.
he has since gotten a ducati 749 and that thing sings.
also one of the new people i met was "liquid".
he was the guy who was returning from his fall on another ride to find cathy in the ditch.
he helped her get the bike upright and on her way.
he took some video of freda and i running down rist canyon.
as soon as i get it i will post it up.

nick's duc!!!
[IMG][/IMG]

an undeniable smile on freda's face.
she love's the road's here.....ya think???

Nice pics, as always, Mayo. I guess you found your way home the other day. I can't believe that Alan doesn't know where Vern's is!

I hurt my back (pulled a muscle) and wasn't able to move, let alone ride, all weekend. It was very disappointing when the weather was so perfect. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good weather this weekend...

This is a great thread...I never saw it Daemon. So far I have met only two members of this forum:
Thmaster
Turtle

I hope to meet more though and eventually I will.

I have met others from my local one though.

I've had a sinus infection and really bad allergies, too. I don't know what's in the air right now but it's bad. Ugh.

It's just as well you didn't stop by. I was an invalid all weekend, and Alan didn't put any clothes on until Sunday afternoon. Not a sight you'd want to see, I think.
