I am thinking about Ogemaw Hills. The State Capt. for the MI. PGR lives in West Branch. It would be a good time to visit him.

I've talked to Redbeard about this before, but next month I'll be in your area... well west of Detroit unless I need to stop for maintenance... probably passing thru and spending the night in Jackson, then on to Port Hope to spend a few days with my brother and his new wife. I'd sure like to meet some of you guys while I'm close by.

After PH I don't know whether I'll arc up thru the peninsula area or cut across to take the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee. Depends on how tired I am or the weather or if I can meet up with any of you. I'm not making advance reservations so that I can change routes at a whim...

When you going to be in Michigan??? Lemme know how your gonna take through Michigan after Port Hope. I can be anywere from I75 to lake michigan and from M115 north in just about 1-2 hours to maybe get sum grub and a ride over to Muskegon wouldnt be to bad either maybe stop into Michigan adventure for a couple roller coaster rides in Muskegon and a stop at Babbits warehouse to pick a cpl things up since they are located in muskegon.

Also bring redbeard and others up with ya there is good riding and plentiful scenery! Redbeard knows about the roads up here and the motorcycle campground within 10 mins of me. make it a little group ride out to muskegon or even up to the Mackinac Bridge after all its like 2-2.5 hours away

Time depends on how long I stay in Port Hope, naturally. Used to be on a schedule because I was planning to attend the gathering of the guard in ogden UT at the end of the month, but I've pretty much decided that's to restricting and I don't really enjoy big gatherings... still might do it but it just depends on how I feel at the time. But my tentative date to cross I-75 on US-10 will be around July 13th... planning to eat a meal in Mount Pleasant because I have family there too.

If I decide I want more sight seeing, I'll just follow the coast up on US-23 and US-2 and on to WI.

Hey everyone, it's Sunday night and I'm using the hotel computer. Nancy talked me out of riding to the UP because of bad weather. And guess what??? NO RAIN the weather has been good for riding up here and I don't have my bike. I've been looking at every other rider up here with envey. So after this weekend without riding, I'll sure be ready to ride next weekend. Lapeer is having a classic car cruse on Saturday. Or maybe a ride to Hell MI for lunch and a curse around the waterloo rec park. OR a lunch ride on Sunday. Do you guys have any ideas?

Hey Guy, I just checked the price for a ride on the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee and it's pricey. I was thinking about me and the wife taking it over and going to the bluffs but I would rather save the money and ride. But without crossing It's a little longer ride than we want to do, so we are thinking about the Alleghenies in PA. Good luck on your ride and have a great time. I wish we could join you but I think we will be headed the other way.

sad to say, the heat wave has changed my timing a little. I don't mind riding in a little heat, especially if I get up early to get most of the miles before it gets outrageous, but then setting up camp in the hottest part of the day and sleeping in a hot humid tent just does not sound so great. I can't afford to spend every night in an air conditioned motel, so trip delayed guys... hope to see you maybe early sept. Wisconsin heat index was 101 yesterday, and even the ozarks were high 90's with rain at night. 100's all thru Texas.

LET"S RIDE !!!The ride is set up for Saturday June 27th. We will meet in Milford at Colasanti's Market 468 south Milford Rd. in Highland. From M59 its less than a mile south on Milford Rd. and it's on the west side of the street.
We will head north west through Fenton toward Byron then head to Howel and Pinkney and then to Hell. We'll stop for dinner at the Damn Site Inn and see what happens after that. So far we have 6 or 7 bikes going. This is an open ride and you are all invited.
