Default Michigan riders

Where are the Michigan riders? Anyone in the northern Detroit subs? Anyone ever have get togethers in this area? Anyone? Anyone?

I bought a book titled "Motorcycling Across Michigan" which lists many routes for motorcyle travel. I've decided to follow up on these routes as much as I can. It'll provide me a chance to see some things in the state which I haven't seen before. Anyone willing to tag along and enjoy some of these routes or even just riding anywhere else...drop a note. Perhaps we can gather a small group to enjoy some beautiful scenery.

Ride safe.

Yes their are some of us out here. My name is Steve and I live in Waterford, about 30 miles north of Detroit. It seems like everyone has something going on and it is hard to get together for a ride. I just picked up a 1600 classic in August and a book on traveling Michigan. The first trip turned out, me and the wife went with another couple and had a great time. The next trip everyone canncled out so I did the coverded bridge tour by myself. Now it,s the fall tour and the wife fell out the front door and broke her tail bone. So now that she's not going the others have canncled. I'm getting used to riding alone but it's not as much fun as riding with others. So let me know what your planning and maybe I can tag along.

I am planing on leaving Saturday morning around 7:30 -8:00 heading out through Holly, Linden, Byron & getting on S. Grand River. I took the ride a few weeks ago and it was a real nice ride. I think I'll make it up as I go, it's all a journey.

Contact your people and we can contact our people and make contact.

Seriously, Steve and I enjoyed a ride a few weeks ago and expect to have more, if not this year, than many for next year. I know they have a ride planned for this Saturday going to Frankenmuth. If you want to be in the loop shoot us an email and we'll let you know when we plan rides.

Got a nice little ride in today...Tomorrow I'm going to do some of the route Steve Paul mentioned... I found web site that suggests Milford to Holly is a nice ride... From there I can do Holly to Fenton to US 23 and head home...
Or if it's a nice ride just turn around ang go form Holly back to New Hudson..
Beautiful time of year around here...great color not to cold not to warm...
Here are some ride routes for Michiganders if you have not seen it before

Well I'm gettihg the fever, I took 800 out of storage for a spine around the parking lot. I had to keep the battery charged up or at least thats what I told myself. The truth is I got it bad, I want to ride so bad I can taste it.
So if I can't ride at least I thought I might as well set up a few trips. The wife and I are thinking about the Tulip Festival in Holland May 8-10. leaving Friday evening and going a little over half way spending the night and going in Saturday morning. They have a bus tour that starts in Centeral Park. For $15 it will take us around town telling its history and of course it goes by all the best tulip gardens. Their will be a few other sights to see but this is the last day of the festival so It may be crowded (or not) anyway I'm thinking we will get back on the road and head back toward Lansing spend Saturday night and Sunday catch a look the covered bridges in the spring. Of course we will be praying for nice weather. Let me know what you think and we can make planes.
I'm also planing a lunch in Hell ride some Saturday in June with a ride through Waterloo and Pinckney State Recreation areas.
Post if you are interested

VROC has a ride planned this summer for Interlochen. They go up and stay at a bikers campground and do some rides around the area over the weekend. I stayed at the campground last sept. for a weekend, some great scenery. Go to vroc.com then go to the Great Lakes chapter for more info.

Almost got it out last week..then mom nature crapped on us again..
I got new bags to mount, have to put the battery in, take it in for a little tweak, and away we go. Keep in touch on any ride plans. It all sounds good..

Hey Redbeard I see you live in Davisburg, Heck thats just around the cornor from Waterford. Half my riders go by there either on the way out or the way back. Did you go to Boomarama Last year? The figure 8 was a blast, we had a real good time.

Hey guys. I'm in Southgate. I'm always up for riding. I prefer early morning Saturday or Sunday rides, so I can enjoy them without too much traffic.

I usually head down toward Monroe and Dundee where the roads are more open and traffic is less. We did a nice ride to Irish Hills last year.

If you guys are not on this site it's all Michiganders.

Me and the wife went to Hell Saturday for lunch at the Dam Inn. It was her idea and she bought. Lord was that fun even if it was a bit chilly. Has any of you guys been out yet. I've put on 500 mile so far. I'm not letting the cold keep me down but this snow today sucks. Remember April 26 we are headed up to Shepard Mi for the Maple Fest. It's a day trip and will head out around 9:30-10:00am from Wateford. More details on the rout to follow.
