Just a "bump" back to the first page, I hope many can attend the "Anti-5" as well as the big loop.
I am thinking it may end up as an Iron butt ride but a nice one none the less.

Wonderfull Batman, you Spok and any others are more than welcome to come and spend the night on Sat or the Fri. before. We will fire up the "webber" and offer some cold beverages. If Time is a factor for anyone comeing the ride doesnt have to be the entire "loop" although that is the goal.

I'll be there, may just be me, but I'll be there. I haven't checked the boat schedule yet but i'll probably leave early Sat AM rather than try to rush over after work on Friday.

so far I think its going to be a group of 10, Just remember its a full day ride for the entire loop. we can/will set the departure time around anyone we need to. tentative time 9:00am depart, return 9pm (in P.A) but if need be an overnight can be done at the 1/2 way point what ever everyone/anyone wants to do some just may not be up to an ALL day ride.

Are you going to ride up to Mount Vernon and then down to Whidby to catch the Ferry to Port Townsend OR are you going to catch the Mulkilteo ferry to Whidby and then up to the Port Townsend Ferry Or are you planning on taking the Kingston Ferry from Edmonds and riding up to Port Townsend and then on to Port Angeles?

400 miles IS a doable distance for 1 day but when you put the timing of the late night ferry run? just might not be all that real for 1 day.

I had planned to go Edmonds-Kingston and ride up. I hadn't thought about getting together with you at some point. What do ya think? Is anyone else from your neck of the woods going? We could also come up through Tacoma and forget the ferrys on the way home. I need to get a schedule and see what the latest runs are.
Sounds like this is on the verge of being a 2 day ride. I think I'll bring a bag just in case. I was under the impression it was +-320 miles. Is that the straight poop? About 12 hrs with eating/rest stops etc?

Its a solid 12 hr ride(Relaxed ride), I pushed the old Ninja and did it in a fuzz under 8 hrs. the idea of "breaking off" @ Oly or any point along the way is the best concept for that matter running it "clock wize" I could meet you someplace around the Hood Canal Br/ Bremerton we could ride it "clockwize" end up here in PA sat night..........I have never done the "Matlock" road or Hwy 3.. .. I will let you folks on the east side decide what/where/how long a day you want.

The ride plans have Changed a bit, the ride will be the 101-112 loop (approx 120 miles) from P.A to Neah Bay and down to Sappho back on 101 to P.A, we will depart here Safeway/Licoln St.@ approx 11:00 and return Approx 2:30-3:00. But in time for you East side guys/gals to catch any ferries that you need to catch, (Applies to the B.C people as well.) This is a wonderfull day ride and should time allow or if people want to I would like to go to the top of Hurricane Ridge (here in Town) I will let the "group" decide.

As of now we have no less than 5. but like Spoks first ride/BBQ its a good start hahahahah.
As is everyone on that side of the "sound" and the Victoria folks will be able to get back home the same day (possibly before dark)
itinerarry:
Leave safeway@ 11:00 am (Lincoln St/Hwy 101 in P.A) heading out 101 to Sappho, Sappo to Neah Bay, Neah bay to Port Gamble<will bring that to a vote, Neah Bay back to P.A via 112 Joyce WA. return aprox~2-3 pm, Be forwarned~ "When coming here dont push the speed limit too hard, MANY MANY police on 101 all the way here" once past the Lucky 7 Casino its real bad!!.
Anyone else coming?, Its a wonderfull ride if you have never done it.
