goes with the planning bleached baboon......when you have a lot of bikes, you want to make sure everyone has fun, and its safe.

Calamarichris knows the route real well......good safety factor

Planning on how to divide riders......very good safety factor.

You want to have one of your best ride tailgunner.

this is why we plan ahead of time.......and when we get to the ride, everyone has a great day out on the bikes

Here is the route on Googlemaps. You can use the zoom feature at the upper left and toggle between map/satellite/hybrid at the upper right:

First Half of the Route.
Second Half of the Route.

This is really only scratching the surface of the good roads to our East, but I figured it would leave you guys enough time to get back home in Orange County before dark.
And of course, I'm open to any other considerations, guidance and suggestions.

Looks like a fun ride.

I think a good meeting point for those in the IE would be Deer Springs and the 15.
While we could meet up at the "T" intersection on Pala Rd, that would eliminate the southern part of the beginning of the "fun" part of the ride.

At the end of the ride, we could break off again at the 15 south of Escondido.

Any idea on a timetable, especially when you think you might be crossing the 15 at Deer Springs?

Personally, I would like to get started by 10:30, just because of people who live further than I do.

Wow, thanks chris for the killer post of the route

I can be anywhere at any time....so I am up for anything

so far......not including Richs group, abdout 8 bikes.

When we go into turning areas, we will probably break into two groups.

Not sure where saugus is, will you be meeting us in OC ?
I'll PM everyone my cell a few days before

So far, I haven't really had much response from anyone other than the founders, who will be out of town that weekend.

Saugus is up at the extreme north end of the LA basin... about 80 miles away from Laguna Hills.

hey, looks like there has been a lot of changes to this ride. Last time I checked up on it about 3 or 4 weeks ago there wasn't this much info. Sorry I haven't been up-to-date with this ride plan (It's been crazy at work) but count me in for this. I could really use a good ride this month. I'm up here in the San Berdo/Redlands area. Didn't really catch to much of what's happing as far as meeting up where with that group, but if someone could PM me with that info or even send me an email at <brandonstaggs@hotmail.com> with more info, that would be great. I'm really looking foreword to this ride. Thanks

As of right now, I haven't gotten any response from any other club members, which is probably just as well, given that we've got a fair sized group already, and I think I'm currently the only member of the LCR with a Kawi...

IF I get no bites from my clubmates, I'll probably just get up early and stage in Laguna Hills with Brit.

Dunno.... It depends on what time we decide to meet up with the SD/Carlsbad group.

Depending on your route, we could meet at the 91 and Green River, or somewhere along the 60 near Ontario, but on this one I might be inclined to throw my transponder in the bags and use the 241.

Just let me know what time and where to be and I'll be there. By the way, I'll be riding a ZX6R. I saw that you guys were talking about splitting the groups up if it got to be and I figure it might help to know what I'm riding.

yeah generally, when you start getting into double digits with people who arnt used to each other, 2 groups is better.

does meeting at 8:30 in laguna work for the people coming down the 5 ?

That's a bit early for me on a Sunday, but it'll be worth it. are we meeting at Alice in Laguna or somewhere else?
