I started packing today, just wish it was for Red Lodge instead of Nashville.

That thing looks like quite a load John. I'm interested in hearing the road report on it.

I know you are thorough but I thought I should at least ask.
I think that it is the prespective that may be throwingoff the looks. It isnt' as bad abeam as the photo makes it appear.

The Bunkhouse weighs in at about 375 empty. Right now it is loaded up to about 400. Stoping isn't an issue, so far. When I do my long trip in late august, I may pull into B&F as see if they can retro the hydraulic brakes, if I feel the need.

Yep, it could almost float. Won't need it until late August/early Sept. I'm planning a grand tour to Inidana, Kentucky, Texas and Colorado. Haven't seen my brothers and sister in a couple of years, it's time.

Well, it is finalized, I will not be attending RL this year. Family vacation to Disneyland and SoCal in the two first weeks of August is planned, and I have only two weeks of vacation per year. Will get 3 weeks after 5 years......been here 3 now.

Last year it was Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming and into Red Lodge. I enjoyed that route, but I would gladly take the advice from all you veteran travelers. I'm basically right at the Ill/Wis border, but don't mind venturing a little south.
Hi Perry!

If you're interested in riding up with us, we'd love to have you stop in here on the way. Most of our route isn't that great--the first half, anyway. We're going to stop in Buffalo on Thursday night, then on Friday we'll head up highway 16 and then take 14 west. We'll be going through the southern end of the Big Horn mountains. Alan knows the specific route better than I do.

If you're interested in hooking up with us to ride into Red Lodge, send me a PM and I can give you more details about our route.

That's a shame Ronnie since you're closer than many of us. No doubt your time at Disneyland with the family will be fun. You will be missed!

It is 560miles from me to Red Lodge, so it is just over the hill really. But don't worry Rich, I'll seek to make a face to face meeting with some of you SoCal ppl when I'm down there for sure.

Kim, you've got my cell # on a PM.

I regret to say that I also won't be making it to RL either this year. I have been teetering with it since since Friday when I landed in the ER for 7 hours after collapsing at work. I went through multitudes of tests and they determined it was only from dehidration. (end of the Pepsi, on to the water)
Now they have me wearing a heart monitor on my side 24/7 for the next 30 days because of my history of three heart attacks in the past 2 years. I'm still riding, but my wife asked me if I would spend some time with her during those vacation days I had for RL, and do something with her. I agreed and we are going to the black hill in SD. I told her to follow down to RL, but she didn't want to go that far. She has her share of medical problems too, and can't ride on the back of the bike. When we do things we either take the cage, or she takes her car and I take the bike. Sorry guys, I will sincerely miss not getting to meet you folks this year, but I will try again next year. I wish you all a safe trip, and hope you all have a great time. I will look forward to the pics from Redlodge, and I will have pictures from Julie and I's trip to the Black Hills.

Bring the cage!

And ya... water. Caffeine is a diuretic.

Does anyone know for sure if there will be a place to set up a tent? I'm gonna try to make this trip on a small budget.

Jarrad - Alpine Lodge doe shave cemping spaces. :How much room is a good question. But, if you snuggle your tent up close to my trailer, I'm sure we can find enough room for you. Or
