the orange county guys are getting ready to ride again.....so of course people are welcome.
next sunday we will be meeting at buena park mall at 9am for a pre-ride. a word of warning......we will have some newer group riders, so it wont be a race around the twisties day. A good scenic cruise, and I believe, but could be mistaken.....but lunch at the infamous biker hang out " cooks corner". We will be taking it fairly easy and just enjoying the ride......so, whos in ?????

Sounds good.... ignore the other post for staging at Fatburger... Wally World parking lot it is.
I'll probably have a passenger. Hey Brit... you went to the Harley event last Sunday... uneventful with respect to the po-po's? Either way, I'm putting my stock pipes back on until some of the heat dies down.

Yup... I'll be there.
I heard about the SCRC ride to SD, but I don't think there's any SCRC members on the forum here. My group has ridden with the Palomar chapter a number of times, as well as the newly formed Inland Valley chapter... bunch of great people. In fact, Saturday, I'm riding with the IV chapter to Newcom's Ranch on Angeles Crest for lunch.

1.) From BP Mall to PCH taking Beach Blvd all the way 2.) Taking PCH south towards laguna beaches 3.) Taking Ortega Hwy back up north 4.) Taking side streets to head to Cook's Corner in Trabuco Canyons for lunch. Edit: from Cook's, we take chapman up north towards Buena Park and split ways Chapman Ave has different freeway entrances... 55fwy and 57 intersects ![]() ting

From the staging area in BP, it's 60 miles to Cook's. There is a Shell station at Santa Margarita & Trabuco, so we can make a fuel stop there and keep everyone from running short on the way home from Cook's.

It'll put us at Cook's fairly early depending on what kind of time we make. I'm figuring we'll average 30-40mph for most of the ride. We'll be getting up there for some stretches of PCH and Antonio, but nothing too tough for the newer riders. It'll also get us on the way home before the afternoon heat really starts boiling.
