Ok The data in the GPS works... the start point is not 51 us 1... but rather a different start... I was wondering if EVERYBODY must meet at the over the border? Cause that means I have to leave my house at 7, go south, just to come north again (seems like a waste... Is there going to be a fuel stop anywhere near the chatterbox?) thats near the large field 206 / 15 i think

I dont mind riding all the way down there to start... i know i wont go all the way down there at the end of our journey cause then ill just have to come north to come home again

Just wondering if other people are further north and if we are all meeting at the same spot or what - just wondering

Im pretty sure Dave is coming down south to OTB too - we were originally going to meet up at the circle but I'm not too familiar with that area so we settled on it there. I dont know the data, but is there a part on the route you'd be able to intersect with us on?

Yes Ross's corner... that would be ideal for me - is everybody else meeting down south? Is it a problem to pull off and grab me? I will be fueled and ready to go... ill just meet at rosses cornet at around 9:30 - 10:00 thats about when you all will get there i suspect?

I dont think that will be a problem, but you should coordinate with Dave on the final meeting point so he can add it to the official route - I don't know the area at all so I defer to his judgement.

Man, we really wanted to do this, but it looks like it might not happen for us....we would need to stay the night in NJ the day of the ride because of all the miles traveled to get there. Since it is a Sunday now instead of a Saturday, it will all depend on getting off work Monday....still trying to work on this....

Well just let us know Cheri, we'd love you and chaz up here for the ride! This was kind of a last minute thing this year because my bike was out of action for so long but you can be sure I'll give advanced notice for next years!

We can add meet up points as needed. I'm heading east first from home to pick up Scott, et al. Then we'll head west to the "official" starting point (which I may move depending on where everyone else comes from).

We won't make Ross Corner until later... probably a bit after 10am, but I'll check the route and get a specific time. I'll shoot you a PM to coordinate.

yeah port Jervis diner is ok .... but id prefer something a little different plus i heard good from trusted sources...hah ha

Anyway - regardless - this ride is looking AWESOME!

Dave if you update your gps can you send that file again... and man I wish i can figure out how to make the flags just a little smaller

by the way I just called a buddy of mine - not part of forum but does have a vulcan 750 to see if he is interested...

Will let you all know... i would have him meet us in port jervis, thats about where he is at... or in high point park - but will know more by thursday

I'll update the route to include the food stop + the length of Shades of Death road. Currently, just the starting point is routed. I'll send you an updated file later in the week. I won't have time to do it tonight (Bike Night!!).

Flags? You mean the Waypoints? If so, you can change the names of the waypoints and just keep the numbers. I only put names in there so I'll know what's coming up next while navigating the route. As long as you keep the numbers you can auto-route just by sorting the waypoints and creating a route that way.

yeah i meant waypoints... i called um flags cause thats what they show up as on my zumo... heh

im going to mess with it and maybe learn something

i cant seem to be able to mess with the names of the way points...

Ill try and do it through the PC program but it does not seem like i can do it on the zumo... HUMMMMM.....

I talked to dave he knows the story - but for everybody else.... I got rear ended today or like side swiped whatever the case may be

Health wise im fine, mentally im ****ed cause my bike is a mess

The rear blinker is ripped off, i lost a saddle bag, left floor board is tweaked bad, the shifter assy is toast dang nabbit!

Well im happy to be here and tell about it cause if I didnt move to the shoulder when i saw what was coming - i would be dead.

Anyway Im a maybe because i may take dads bike... will know more towards end of week - my bike aint gunna make it though!
