welp i wanted to post up and let you all know that we tried out best, Guitar did you and pop get home without much rain?

Tanks for coming all the way up here guys, that was a hike, but it was good to see you and put on about 70 miles anyway.

We did a little less then half our trip and the skies started to open up, it started with a small drizzle, but the clouds were not forgiving looking so we decided to cut the ride short.

I am still very interested in getting some of those cal zones, and I think everybody else should be too - they are really good.

Todays ride was good other having to cut it short, I think it was a relaxing ride, other then a few spots where cars were pretty close to our tail rider, even though there was cars in front of us so we were not going slow, sometimes people in cars just never understand.

We had one point where some deer wanted to kill us, and also some Canadian geese were in the way on one of the roundabout thingies and my fiamm-80S horn got their attention, so did guitars stock horn, Man that horn is loud for stock

anyway I took a few pictures, one or two of my bike before departing this morning and then a few at monksville meetup point, and some of the dam

here goes:

It was steady rain from the minute we hit 287 till we pulled in the garage. 75 miles of wetness.

Poured my boots out, wiped down the ride. Gotta say that riding the interstates while raining was exciting -- especially where there were a lot of merges going on. Whole different perspective from the saddle. Kenny, the route you planned was great. Let's have a do-over and finish it. Besides, gotta try the calzones.

glad to hear you guys made it back just fine, sorry about the wetness. I will "re-do" the ride starting from a new point to try and get us close to where we had to be, now that i know you guys are so far south i can maybe make the first start point closer to you guys then continue up and finish the 2nd leg of the trail i made.

I have the memory of a gold fish, guys whats that rain gear you got? whats the website?

Thanks, Kenny

Hey guitar i think ill get the rainman like you guys have but for pants i may get the sierra, since it has the zippered closure

Actually maybe ill get all sierra so its one suit

it will be good to carry a rain suit, and heck, you guys had yours and it did not look like it took up much space at all, the gordons fisherman one i have takes up half a saddle bag

Yeah these fold up into themselves - theres like a pocket thingy inside of the jacket that you stuff the whole thing into. I gotta order the pants, though....
