3rd Annual Denny's Beer Barrel Pub Run (Pennsylvania) April 20, 2008

Ladies and Gents,

Mark your calender now. Sunday April 20th, 2008 the 3rd annual Denny's Beer Barrel Pub Run. This motorcycle ride was set up 3 years ago by one of the guys on my local motorcycle forum for an early season get together. The Run takes us from the Pittsburgh area to Denny's Beer Barrel pub located in Clearfield, PA which is home of now the world record holding 123lbs burger.

The original huge burger we went for was the 15lb burger which I think 3 were ordered last year along with a few 10lbs burgers. Last year there were well over 100 motorcycles and people as far as Chicago made the trip. This started out with sport and sport touring bikes, but is open to anyone with two wheels.

Reservations have been made for the 3rd Annual Region 6 "Meet and Eat" at Dennys Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA: home of the Worlds Largest Hamburger. Expect about 100+ riders to show up from all over the region. Most are from the Pittsburgh area, but more than a few people make a weekend of it and ride there on Saturday, spend the night at a local hotel (Days Inn?) and ride home on Sunday after lunch.

DATE: Sunday, April 20th. Show up by Noon and BS/eat/etc until 2-ish

I got the following reply from Denny when inquiring about reserving the back room for this year:

"Hi, we were just talking about your group at our management meeting on 2/1/08. We will have half the building reserved: the entire top section including the dinning room. I will post notice for your event on our web site also. We are also going to offer "SPORTBIKE BURGER RUN SPECIALS" of course with some added flair and couple of gift card drawings as some added bonus. If there is anything further I can do let me know...

Yes but the past two years we have lucked out so keep your fingers crossed and don't jinx us....lol

I'm going into withdrawl and need to start riding soon. Had the bike out like maybe 6 times since novemeber 1st.
