I am waiting to hear back, but we may have the availability for a cabin to throw us all in

Be sure about that... keep in mind that at locations like this, many "cabins" are similar to what they are out on Catalina. One room, maybe 8x10, one or two beds (no bedding), an electric oil heater, and a closet.

Any time I read "Cabin, bring your own bedding" this is what I envision.

If they're big enough for 10 or 12 people, wonderful (I'm assuming Ken and Lynne will want their own room).

STRONGLY suggested:
Etymotic Research, Inc. - ER•20 High Fidelity Earplugs

Only $12, and these things work GREAT.

Wind noise is a big factor in fatigue, and we're going to have enough of that on the way there and home. Every little bit will help.

Also for heat:
Welcome to RideCool.com
About $40, and they work.
You soak these in water, give it a light squeeze, and put it on over a t-shirt.
One "refill" will easily last until the next fuel stop. You will want to get a large zip-lock bag like a SpaceBag for storage to keep everything else dry when you're not wearing it. We'll leave for a trip with the vests already soaked in a zip-lock (with some excess water) and take them out when we start feeling warm.

Our three enemies on this trip are going to be heat, dehydration, and fatigue. All three feed on each other.

That hurts just looking at it.

THESE work great though: Mentor Freedom Cath External Catheter - Allegro Medical Supplies
That's what I use when scuba diving in my drysuit to keep the inside of the suit dry.

Those are latex, but they are also available in poly for those with latex allergies.
Mentor Freedom Clear External Catheter - Allegro Medical Supplies

Only one problem if I wear one.... I'm the ride leader
