Hey... maybe if we ALL get fired we can take the whole month and just take Hwy 1 up to Seattle, head across the top picking up Canadians as we go, stop in RL for the weekend, continue to the Great Lakes.....

Ouch... careful on a worker's comp claim.
There's two kinds of worker's comp claims that CAN render you "unemployable"... back injuries and stress.

Is stress really something you can complain about? I mean, management can stress anyone out. If that is a legit complaint, I should have been disabled long ago. Two months ago I experienced my first-ever panic attack and trust me, it was not pretty.

I will be careful..........just going to make things hard for them. I know first hand, one guy was let go because his age, and how much he makes, they should always be careful who they talk in front of, especially when my office walls are thin, and you can hear conversations in the bathroom

A work related panic attack is serious, and while you seem relatively normal, probably wouldn't go after worker's comp. However, if there are other employees that are THAT stressed, you may have a valid "hostile work environment" case as a limited class action... but only if it's company policies that drive ALL managers to treat the employees the same way. If it's just one manager, then it may still be actionable, but instead of a payout to the employees, it would probably result in action against the manager. For one thing, WC payments are worse than unemployment, EVERYTHING is reviewed by legal and contested by the insurance companies before approval... Camille has been going through this BS with her neck injury since 1998. She's been off work since September... worked that job for about 2 months and the only way she got it was she had an "in". She would still be there, but the docs pulled her out for her 1st Carpal Tunnel operation. As soon as she was recovered from that, she had meniscus surgery on her knee (not WC related, that was Kaiser). As soon as she was recovered from that, they scheduled her other wrist. Almost recovered, but she still has some crap going on with her shoulder, AND to top it all off... the cervical fusion that she waited 5 years for... she now has disc bulging above and below the repair. They can't fuse THOSE or she'd lose all neck mobility. Prior to that job, she went through about 5 jobs a year... she'd either get canned soon after being hired (when they had time to run a full background check on all previous jobs), or they'd hold her for 89 days and dump her before they had to pay benefits. The problem with back injuries is that the repair is NEVER as good as new. Every future employer will look at you as a possible back injury claim just waiting to happen. Same for a stress claim. Especially stress... because there are no verifiable physical symptoms. It's just too easy to "make it up", and if you do it once, future employers will figure you'll do it again. After seeing the BS that Camille is going through, I will NEVER file a worker's comp claim unless it's unavoidable. Obviously, if I fall out of the bucket truck or get hit by a car when on the clock... there's no choice... but if I get a burn, or break something that doesn't require a 911 call, I'll tough it out until I get home and let Kaiser take care of it. Out of the last 5 times I've been to the doc, 4 of them were work related injuries.

Hey Mark... Got something for you.
I bought too much carpet for my trunk liner, so I cut a 2nd set. It ain't perfect, but it's some protection for the contents, and if your new trunk is black inside like mine, it lightens it up. Grab some 3M Super-90 spray glue next time you're close to Lowe's.

So since you've got the weekend off... what are you doing tomorrow?
We've got West Coast Thunder Monday, but with the rain this week, I'm itching to go somewhere... not really a "ride"... maybe up to Cook's for a beer and a cigar?
