9 will work just fine.
AirNav: Flo's Airport Cafe at Chino Airport
It's at 7000 Merrill Ave, Bldg 8.
It's off of Euclid south of Eucalyptus... just hop off the 60 at Euclid and head south to the airport.

Mark, you can bring the 71 to Euclid and head north.

Because as much as we would love to see everything there is to see in the country at a nice leisurely pace, we've got a limited amount of time to literally cover 2800 miles.

Unless everyone wants to add a day and leave Tuesday morning? I decided to take the whole week off since we're off July 4th anyways... couldn't see the point of a 3-day weekend, work 2 days, then bust a$$ to get to your place Tuesday night. Now I've got 4-1/2 days to pack and prep.

Rich,
Looks like you did your routing in mapsource for a garmin gps? if so, can you PM me the route files? I'd like to have a look see....thanks!

We did Mojave today, racked up an easy 450 miles. Have to say though that with the wind kicking up on the way home, the ride from 40 (after leaving the preserve) through the 15 past Hesperia was the worst riding I've had in awhile. Just plain work at that point. It didn't calm down until we came down the hill from there.
Guess we are in training...

If I don't have to haul people or equipment, I ride so I don't lose my parking space

I'm only about 10 miles away... Jesus might be 20, and I think Mark is about 40 or 50... but Mark rode 600 miles just to party with us in StateLine for a few hours

I did it in Garmin Mapsource....
http://personal.linkline.com/rlockye.../redlodge3.gdb

Keep in mind that the route home is very tentative, and the file has a couple of options for a 2 or 3 day trip. Likewise, there is an alternate from Idaho Falls to Red Lodge including the trip through the Tetons and Yellowstone (should probably buy an annual national parks pass for $80, one pass is good for 2 bikes, 4 passengers IIRC, I'm going to buy one anyways for my club's trip to Zion in May).

One stop that we HAVE to make is north of Mono... a 26 mile detour to the ghost town of Bodie... GOTTA get some photos of our iron horses in front of some of the old west buildings.... they'll make good conversions to B&W for framing.
Also, Mark wants to get a group shot in front of each of the "Welcome to" state signs. I'm going to see if I can get my tripod in my pack.

The wind can get pretty bad up there. On the way back from Stateline we got blown around pretty hard. Today we rode up to Paradise Cafe in Anza and it was pretty windy up there... Hemet wasn't bad though.

It can be work... sometimes you feel like you're scraping the floorboards just to maintain a straight track on the freeway. It takes it's toll on the arm.

Don't feel bad... I broke an exhaust stud today during the ride... got a benefit ride tomorrow and we'll be caging it.

MAYBE I can find an 8mm stud at an auto parts store.

But that won't keep us from calling you a RUB if you cage it

You guys went to all kinds of places today. I feel envious! I haven't rode this weekend yet. I stayed at home today cuz the wife got sick. I am down to ride tomorrow though, since she works all day! Any rides for tomorrow? Got space for one more?
