I am bringing a sleeping bag as more of an emergency, as we will hit a few type remote areas, its jsut my nature.

I posted a link to the hotels in certain areas, after teh 28th, and we get closer, we can all talk about where we want the goals to be each day, and reserve rooms from that.

since it is after the 4th, and before any major holidays, plus, lets be honest, who vacations in Utah ??????????

it looks like plenty of lodging available

Hey, I'm the first to say that I'm a wuss when I'm traveling...too damn old to sleep on the ground by choice. I like my comforts (oh wait, you figured that out from my corbin seat).

Seriously though, I had a bad back injury a few years back and it doesn't take much for it to flare up and keep me from moving around. I'm no prima donna (?) though, and Brenda and I will take care of ourselves one way or another. Won't cause any issues with the rest of the group.

Blah! Just chill Bill (oops, not intended), once we get going we will all have a voice in the choices to be taken and we will have to look out for one another. No problemo amigo!

You need a new tire already...how many miles on your 900 now?

and btw, not really worried abt the accommodations. I just din't want the group to think I was going to be a PITA abt it...
It'll all work out the way it supposed to, and looking forward to this trip!

About 9500 miles already. About 3mm left in the rear. Why take chances? I ordered the tire from Bert's. They have their sh!t overpriced but oh well, no one else seemed to have it. It should be on the bike before the June forum ride.

Which one are you getting? Brenda has about 7800 miles on hers and I ought to check treadwear also I suspect.

I am getting the one in the rear. Remember that we need at least 4mm of tread if we will be doing speeds of 80mph or more. With Rich leading the way, I am not too sure 4mm will cut it.

80mph + it is 3mm rear and 2mm front. Below 80, 2/1mm.

Order online, you'll get it in three-four days and don't have to be driving around. once you get it, take it to your closest dealer to get it installed and bingo!!. lately i have become more and more used to ordering online, i use Motorcycle Parts, Motorcycle Accessories by BikeBandit.com a lot, they carry a lot of oem parts as well as accessories for just about any bike.

Jesus.
