Not on the Classic/LT. ALL spoked wheels have tubes. The manual specifies tubeless tires because tube-only tires are VERY hard to find and in limited sizes.
Looking through some catalogs, seems that the only tube-only tires I'm seeing are cheap Chinese imports, mostly for vintage bikes (19 and 21" fronts with ribbed tread... very retro). Catch 22 on tubes... Slime might repair a flat, but I don't like running that crap in my tires 24/7. If you wait until after you have a flat, the short time running deflated usually allows the tube to move enough so that whatever puctured the tread will tear the tube, so after the fact addition of slime is no help. Art's been riding for many years though... I'm sure he's got some tricks to fixing a flat on the road without calling for a tow.

I will try to bring a set of patches. I have experience patching tubes, althought dismounting the tire from the rim would be something new to me. I am down to try my methods in the front but the rear will need a tow. Oh, and I will be bringing an extra set of dentures too!

Ya, front wouldn't be a HUGE problem... we could probably lift it enough to stack some rocks under the case and balance it on the stand to get the front wheel up enough to remove.
Without 3 or 4 tire spoons, it ain't gonna be easy. Actually, it ain't easy WITH 4 tire spoons.

okay.........told rich I am working on having a website for the socal riders. Might have a test run of it before red lodge, but probably not, but definetly by the end of august.
The idea is to have a ride calander, upload our pics without all the photobucket crapola links of course to the different forums...............and things like road rules, techniques for group riding. here are some screen shots, but they may not show up too well ![]() ![]() since it seems the joke has kinda stuck, and actually, I get a laugh out of it, I am thinking of calling it " Home of the wild snails" kind of a wild hogs joke

Looks good so far.
One thing... make generous use of the

command. Those of us with wide screens enjoy not getting everything bunched up into the left side. The menu page looks good... But the photo page can use it.

Get yourself some Slime for tubed tires. Unless you rip the crap out of the tire it is good for a 3mm hole and with Rich's pump you should be able to get someplace and get it fixed right. Any auto or bike shop and Walmart should have it for about $5. Check this link: Tube Sealant Do as Rich said and put a new tube in the tire you are getting (recommended when putting on a new tire by all tire companies) . Save the old tube and carry it with you for an emergency. BTW, some of the better Italian bikes have spoked wheels that run tubeless tires with no tube, i.e. Moto Guzzi 940 Custom: Moto Guzzi |

I don't remember how much the "premium" coverage is, but even it will only get you 200 miles for free. Worst case, a bike gets "stashed" somewhere safe, someone gets a cage with a trailer and goes back for it.

You think I'm going to lead these nutcases 3000 miles without some level of planning?
If it were just me and the OL, we'd just kick the tires and light the fires!
