But you said your bike broke down. How will you go? If you will ride, what time will you take off?

We're caging it.
It's in Riverside and there's a Harley dealer there that's open Sunday so I can get exhaust gaskets... if I can find the 8mm stud the Vulcan will be back on the road before dinner.

I will just wait for your iron horse to be back on the road. Let me know if you have anything planned for the following weekend.

We're tentatively set for a San Diego ride on the 22nd, but it may move out to the 29th, as the 22nd conflicts with the monthly VROC ride.

We'll know after we discuss it on the 12th at bike night. Right now, our club has a ride on the books for the 29th, but we're going to have to move it out... if we flip-flop it with another ride then we'll have to keep the forum ride on the 22nd, but if we just move it out and don't reschedule anything else, then we'll be open on the 29th.

Thanks Rich. I haven't spent the time figuring out anything beyond the basics in mapsource. The stuff you did, with the multiple routes in one file....I need to spend some pc time and work this out. I still haven't figured out how to modify someone else's route (changing their waypoints to modify the track) w/o messing it up.

I don't know how to do that either
It really tweaks me when I'm plotting a ride and I have the map zoomed out just a hair too far and when I click an offramp, it plots the point on the wrong side of the freeway and routes in a 20 mile detour to the next ramp 10 miles down the road and back.

Maybe a right click using the select tool? Dunno.

This is not the right thread to make this question, but I will still ask. Are you guys easily annoyed by the helmet lock on the vn900? I am! Does anyone know of any note-worthy alternatives? Please DO share with me!

Here are some locks from MeanCycels. Take a look at them and give them a call and ask for the 5% Delphi VN900 forum discount.

MeanCycles - KAWASAKI - VN 900 - HELMET ACCESSORIES

Have you picked up some saddlebags or tail bag? You can probably get by with some throw over saddlebags if you don't want to mount any. I expect your dealer has some that you can check out.

Better be careful the Feds will get you for crossing state lines to highjack this thread....

That's funny... mine and Art's bikes do that all the time too!
A few weeks ago I went to pay my storage unit bill and pick up some stuff from WalMart... I got home 6 hours later!

bump................gotta keep the blood flow going. starting to get a big group, might as well go the full nine and turn red lodge into hollister....lol

oh,btw...talked to rich and art, they both agree, within 2 weeks or so of leaving, we all need to make time to get together for a ride meeting.

art is a long time rider with plenty to share with us about trips (what to bring, what to be careful of), Rich I ride with a lot and he has quite a bit of road experience under his belt.

and me.........I'm just a walking redneck with an attitude who loves a cold beer and a cigar at the end of the day

All I ask is that it be at a decent hour so we can make it....these early meets I see posted here for inland empire are hard to do when you live in OC!

Default meetings re: red lodge

we are having breakfast sunday to start talking about it some, right? FLO"S it is, and i can hardly wait for july, i am soooo excited about this trip. and please remember to do a good safety check at least three weeks before the ride, that should give everyone enough time to do repairs if needed. and pay attention to those tires, remember you are gonna add some serious mileage to them, so if they look low? better get a new set before the trip.
