![]() Remember... this isn't a "ride".... just a breakfast meeting. If ya wanna cage it, nobody will think (much) less of you ![]() Since it's not a ride, there's no KSU, so the time isn't stamped in concrete... I'll be there a little before 9 and grab a table, but we'll hold a couple of extra spots and if you don't get there until 9:15 or so it's not a big deal. So how many we got coming? Me, Mini-Me, Jesus, El Mex, Wm, Rod.... 6? I'll try to grab a table for 8.

Back in college, I cruised out to Salton Sea to meet some friends. The little peninsula where we used to camp was empty ![]() I stopped and slept in the car, woke up in the morning... not knowing if I'd find where they were camped or not, I figured I'd make breakfast. All I had was bacon, eggs, and a case of Bud. Had a few strips of raw bacon, used my knife to punch a hole in the end of a few eggs, stuck the blade in and "scrambled" them, then sucked them out of the shells. Washed it down with 2 cans of Bud, and with light on my side, started cruising campgrounds and found them. His mom had a heart attack when I told her about my breakfast.

Good breakfast... when you see a "B" on the health department report, you know you're in for something more like what mom used to make ![]() Ya, we got the boot, but we had been there for 90 minutes, and they had a huge line waiting to get in.

Was a good get together from my perspective. Good to meet some of you and get a bit of brain power applied to talkin abt the trip. It was worth it just for the bit of ride up the road to flo's. That snowy mountain backdrop was awesome. I came back across the 241, fuel light went on after a few miles. FWIW, only 33mpg on my last tankful (this was all local riding), and I had .9 gal remaining by the time I pulled into the Chevron station on Chapman/Santiago. So, the 120-150 max or so between stops might be all I can reasonably expect if we are haulin.
Anyway, enjoyed meeting everyone, looking forward to actually riding with you. El Mexicano...check out the scootworks rear pulley! |

Went good. Was basically a way for a couple of the newer members to hook up. I handed out the MSF's guide to group riding, and we chatted about collecting emergency information so nobody is having to poke through a bike or a wallet to find something if there's a problem.
We also talked about either, instead of stopping in Idaho Falls, pushing on into Wyoming and rolling through Yellowstone Friday morning, or even adding a day so we don't have to push so hard to get closer to the park Thursday. Seems like everyone will be comfortable with 70-85 speeds... though I have a feeling that Scootworks is going to be selling some pulleys, and Mustang might be selling some seats.
