I am ready for Red lodge guys, of course, i have done a few 2000 mile trips solo, so have no fear, jesus is here!! i have checked my list of items, i need nothing but the day! and yes, i am going to get both tires brand new before taking off. i like to travel in comfort, peace of mind, you know,,,i will have them installed a couple of weeks before we leave. and Rich, i have portable air compressor, tools, flat repair plugs, etc,,,etc,,, i sugest to run some fuel injector cleaner before the trip, and do a complete service. oil chg. tune up, those that have chains,, see how many miles on that chain, they don't last more than 20,000 miles, maybe is time to get a new chain. final drives need attention, a simple oil change will do, , start buying some spare light bulbs, specially the one for your headlight, a fuse kit, any questions? don't be shy! let's talk about it,

I've also got a Slime compressor and a plug kit (won't help the spoked 900 Classics).
Good call on spare lightbulbs. I recently replaced ALL of my lights, but spares for the headlight/spotlights are always good to have. Also, for those who don't do their own work, I would suggest getting the service done before the June forum ride. With my riding club, we've had two ride-ending failures (fortunately both on the way home). In both cases, the bikes had been serviced by the dealer right before the trip. Even for those who DO their own work... please give the bike a 200-500 mile shakedown run the weekend before we leave.

If you get it done let me know. If you drop it off on a Sat morning I'll pick you up and we can go do something while it gets installed. |

Hey Rich, what time do you expect to arrive at newcombs ranch? there is a guide dogs for the blind poker run, and i think is gonna be on angeles crest isn't it? anyways, i was taking my brother up there for breakfast, but i might join you guys on the first half of the day, and split from there. i plan to ride up to palmdale, then on to victorville, then up to big bear. so i think if i leave there around 1:00 i should make big bear in about 2.5 hours. you guys are welcome, i will be coming down towards san bernardino on the way back, via 330
