You said it. Man, I've been caught in the hail and everything. I just want it to be sunny and 80...
Cool, thanks for the tip. You gonna ride out with us?
D' You say strip? At the corner of 9 and 56...or is it 20 and 56?

Rob no stripping at the Quabbin. It's a family place or is it a place to make families. Can't remember. Sometimes get confused in the woods. Getting sick of the rain also. Finally bought a riding rain suit yesterday. After I finish my coffee I'm going for a short ride. Let it rain I don't care no more. Gotta enjoy part of this 3 day wet humid weekend.
Oh man, no fun...
Hopefully you didn't need the new suit. I'm glad we have a pool here at the compound.
I just got back from picking my bike up at my brother in law's. My sister was watching the baby, so I was driving there with him, then hopping on the bike for the rest of the ride to work. He just started at a daycare on the wife's ride to work, so I can take the bike all the way in now!!! It stunk, 'cause the best part of the ride was before I got to her house. After there it's just highway, boooo.
My new rear tire should be in today, so I'll have to drop it off at the shop at some point this week to have it changed. The Jeep gets dropped off tomorrow to get the front axle re-built. Sad, Dana 44 that has to be rebuilt '05 w/ 52K. I've never seen that before. and I don't even go 4 wheelin' with it yet...

Oh man. too bad you can't make it. One of these times we'll actually be able to hook up and ride. The dog is coming, so you know there will be plenty of pics, and they'll be good ones too.
On another note, how do we get new threads to post on the first couple of pages ar so? Is there something I should be clicking? I noticed some new threads go right to the top, while others are way back.

Frenchy I did a test ride of the ride you planned for the 27th. Couldn't do the whole route due to limited time to ride today. Of course the Rt. 9/32 section is good, Quabbin great, 202 mostly new paved road then I went down 122 which I've never been on for some reason. WOW nice country scenic road. I had to turn off at the 122/32 junction to make it back home but I think will be an enjoyable nice ride. Hope all that plan on coming can make it. Ton of riders going in both drirections too. Didn't get any photos since I didn't bring camera. Sorry.
that is definitely a good loop that is planned, you won't be disappointed.
have fun at the bachelor party !![]()

That's awesome. New rubber, and new pavement, I can't wait! 2 weeks is a long time to wait. I'll pick my bike up tonight, or tomorrow. I might wait till tomoroow and get dropped at the shop then ride to work from there. It stinks when the only trusted wrench in the area is 3 towns away.
Oh man, it's a whole day later and I'm still hanging. I can't party like I used to. Thank god for limo service. 14 of us spent $817 on booze and food, then we went drinking at the local peeler pit. I finished a G down... But it was fun.

Really, You can't make this stuff up....
that stinks. What do you do, drive a train? If so, if you ride the bike to work, do you find yourself leaning (OK, "pressing") into the turns in the train?
Keep an eye out, maybe we can all hook up for the Newport loop in August or September. URI will be back in session...

LOL.............nobody drives..........they removed the steering wheel.![]()
It is really kind of mind boggling at first to see the engineer walking around in the cab.
I am the conductor.......I hate working the road trains between Mass and NY.............but there are no locals or yard jobs I can hold right now..and the Xtraboard call list is either working way more than I want to or not at all. I get another move in 30 days or when a bid comes up...so my schedule is always changing.................but I would be up to that Newport Loop. I am on vacation the last week in September.

The Newport loop is a good one. It's a looooooong one. We'll start off in Lincoln RI early, and take some really nice back roads allong the CT/RI border down. The loop takes about 6-8 hours, depending on breaks and lunch. We'll have to do that on a Saturday.
