I wish....the class will probably run from 8-4 both days. It would be a minimum 3 hour ride from Clinton. Unless they cancel the class, which is doubtful because they schedule them on alternating weekends to accomodate the weekend work schedules of the hospital employees, I'm afraid it won't happen. Kenny (mcneese5) is probably in the same boat because I think he's scheduled for the same class. My wife is really pizzed as well, she was looking forward to riding up to Morrow. Will have to ride her up there one day to make amends. What time is the dinner part? .....just in case we get out a little early...

I honestly don't know. If you want, I can PM you my number so you can call and find out. Nothing has really been laid in stone yet as to what we are doing. If you guys can't make this one we'll plan something else. Hope you can make it though.

That's why I figured I'd start a list so we make sure to account for everyone! Sorry Jeff!

I wanted to be there, but I probably will not be able to make it Dave. If I do the Trail of Tears ride the weekend before from Chattanooga to Waterloo which could be upwards of 500 miles round trip, it is 455 miles one-way to Morrow Mountain for me.

According to Mapquest, about 104 miles for me. I am still tentative though. Hopefully I can make it.

Looks to be about 145 miles for me. Considering I am planning on riding there and back the same day (on a ZX10!) this could be one tired puppy by the time we get home! lol

eating a ton of food will break up the day of riding just fine! Besides, on the highway, that's only like 45 minutes, right?

Well as usmalenurse ( Charles ) said we found out we have PALS class that day it is only a one day class for me . I might have the possibility of taking it the week before, but that may not happen. So for now count me out and I will do everything possible to be there. I will keep you posted. I am so bummed about this.

well, I guess the two of you will have to plan another one then!

That's a good question about what time. Given that everyone is coming from various areas, and given that motorcycle riders LOVE to eat, I'm thinking it should be earlier so that everyone has time to get home before it gets too dark.

What does everyone think about meeting at Morrow Mtn at 1 and then going to eat around 2? After that we could ride a bit, or those who are there just to meet can head back home?

Any thoughts? I'm totally flexible since I live fairly close.

Someone said we could try to meet at Morrow Mountain around 1PM.
I don't think anyone said what time we would eat. It would suit me to meet there an hour or two earlier and then we could do more of a lunch around 1 or 2 if the restaurant isn't too far away. That way I could be back on the road home by 4 or so and be back home before dark. Of course, I have no reasons to need to be home early or anything and I am even considering stopping to spend the night in Charlotte or somewhere so whatever you guys decide is cool with me.

Take care,
Robert

OH and yeah, I could make 145 miles in an hour or so I am sure. Something tells me the Police wouldn't appreciate it though, lol

LOL

Dave,
Looks like you and I posted at the same time!

I too am flexible. I only live about 60 miles away. Whatever fits for the majority is fine with me. Might make more sense to meet a little earlier as Dave suggested.
