PNW - North Cascade Highway - Wintrop - Lunch Ride - Anyone? - Page 2

Dave- I may be heading over the pass next week with a buddy of mine, sort of an end of summer ride. We may be doing the cascade loop,we'll see. The weather is supposed to be descent early-mid week. I'll keep you posted if you're interested. Sorry for the short notice, but I just found out today.

If you make the run backwards, in reverse..... the route that is. I know you ain't pushin the machines backwards......... anyway, Stevens Pass. Chelan, etc, I can meet up in Monroe. Any time other than the weekend of the 28th. Oyster Run then and I've commited to that.

Plan to ride west to east, eat lunch in Winthrop and ride East to West

TBD depending on the start time. Roger from across the sound will need to tell me what time he will be at my house for the kick off, from there, as you know its a good 3 hour ride over.

Dave with the Kingston ferry to Mt Vernon it is about a 2 hr trip (70 miles). On Sat the options are a 7:10 or a 7:50 boat. On Sun the options are 6:25 and 7:50. With the 7:50 I would probably be there about 10AM. So pick a time that works with this schedule to head out of MV.

Won't be able to make it saturday. I work retail, which means crappy hours. You guys have a great ride. Dave, we'll hook up again in spring, or maybe sooner if the weather holds out longer. I'll let you know when we go next week, just in case you have a slow day.

I went up to newhalem from birchbay this last saturday, stopped for lunch, another rider told me it was cold and rainy on top of the hill, being I didn't have any stuff for spending the night I went back home, still about 250 mi. the little cruiser purred like a kitten. if the weathe holds a little longer I would like to do the loop!

the wife and I are going to winthrop Fri. and then to Leavenworth for sat night, I wanted to take the bike and she wants to take her 07 mustang convertable, we flipped I lost, probably not a bad trade off, so wheres lunch in Winthrop? maybe I can still meet up, if summer holds a lttle longer maybe I can still do it later.

Not sure, last time we ate at the pub right at the stop sign "downtown".
I don't know the name, but it shouldn't be too hard for us to find each other in a one horse town.

The last ride we did I was on the 7:10 and got to Steel Dreams about 9:20. If that is too early I can take the 7:50 and get there about 10AM. Either is fine with me. Just send me a PM with you address and time and I will find you.
