I guess I am going to play it safe and backout of coming. I hate to do this because this will be 2 years now I have to miss out on a good vacation. Last year was due to buying a house and renovating it.

Lets just say I have been really bummed the last 2 days. I decided this yesterday, but couldn't voice it to myself or anyone else until today. This sucks! I have spent a lot of time looking for places to go and see out that way. It got me thru the winter!

I have a queen room at the Alpine. That will be available real soon for someone.

Kawi I know you had me penciled in for a vavle check. Thank you, but I can't make that.

Maybe it will turn around for next year? But at least I am still working so its not all bad.

Awwww Man...that stinks!!!

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm sure you are too. Any chance things could change there and you could still go?

And for David, 77 is definitely not a limit, it is more like a minimum....

You know, they really need to be more clear on the signs as to whether the speed limit is an upper or lower limit.

ispeed. thx. I'll PM you if I'm up for a ride in on Thursday. I'll also be looking for folks to ride w/ on the way back. (Though from your handle and reputation, I may not be able to keep up!

I basically have from Sunday to Thursday to make it to RL so I need to figure out my route and detours.

cool, no prob. i don't go THAT fast, but i do travel at a decent rate
the thing i run into on these trips is that my time is limited and i need to cover a certain amount of ground in that time. that usually dictates my speed, time of stops and number of stops.

You'd better have some ice cream funds in reserve Dawn.

Thanks but no. According to our owner its not looking to really turn around until next year sometime. We are in the natural gas industry and we usually don't slow down when everyone else does. But we don't recover as soon either.

Yes I was really bummed out for 2 days. Oh well. There is always another year I hope!

i need to get a windshield, some rigid mount bags, ghost or ez brackets, passenger backrest and some new gear. also considering building a trailer to pull behind the Meanie. the trailer would be the easy part, building a hitch that is easily removable will take some ingenuity.

In other words, if you want to go really fast and do 1000-mile days, you'll have fun riding with David.

we sure did! Both of us spent alot of time wondering if the other was ok...especially the one in the lead...so, we've wanted one for a while...and we had a nice tax return ~ so we bit the bullet. I'm very happy with it. It's taken a few days to get it hooked up and running properly...but with the exception of Annie's cell phone (bluetooth) it's all hooked up. We used them this afternoon after work and they worked great.
We bought the Scala Rider Multi Set Q2. I think it will free us up to ride and not worry about how the other is feeling...
